  The Faithful Slave - An Obvious Question I Haven't Heard Asked

  since the big 7 have appropriated this "blessed" title for themselves, and disavowed the existence of this slave prior to 1919, an obvious question comes up.. was it not the apostate maria russell that proffered that ctr was "the slave," and was the coiner of the term "the faithful slave"?.

  if the slave did not come into existence until 1919, then how was it possible that prior to 1919 that anyone knew that it existed, or would have been able to foretell that it would come into existence?.

  was maria a prophetic apostate?.

  For once, WT got it right. I followed this advice...that's why I'm no longer a JW.

  And, let's not forget: according to WT's current doctrine, the Faithful slave is literal, the evil slave is only illustrative.

  Please ignore that both are discussed in the same verse.

  The WT library cd-rom only goes back to 1950 for the W, 1970 for the A.

  JW.Org only goes back ten years for a reason.

  Various online sources will have the older publications...but you won't find them through WT.

  I understood from my time as a JW that the FDS said Jesus died only for them as only they are Christ's brothers & the rank & file JW's are not.

  The Lie:

  "Falsely, however, some who professed to be Christian brothers charged that The Watch Tower had denied that Jesus is the Mediator between God and men, that it had repudiated the ransom and denied the necessity and fact of the atonement" (Proclaimers, ch.28, p.630)

  .

  The Fact:

  "Jesus Christ in heaven is the Mediator between God and the spiritual Israelites" --W 11-15-79

  "Likewise, the Greater Moses, Jesus Christ, is not the Mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. He is the Mediator between his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and the nation of spiritual Israel, which is limited to only 144,000 members." -- Worldwide Security Under the "Prince of Peace" (1986) pp.10-11 ch.1

  "So in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the "mediator" only for anointed Christians." -- Watchtower 1979 Apr 1 p.31

  "... the invitation to come to Jehovah's organization for salvation" -- Watchtower 1981 November 15 p.21

  the glen ellyn village board (usa) on monday night voted 4-2 to reject a request by a kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses north of glen ellyn to place a portable brochure rack on a public sidewalk in downtown glen ellyn for evangelistic purposes.. glen ellyn currently bars commercial signage and the placement of any kind of structure whether temporary or permanent on its public sidewalks without village board approval.

  On Monday, several trustees said they felt a public sidewalk is the wrong place for an evangelistic cart.

  Actually, planet Earth is the wrong place for an evangelistic cart...especially one monikered with a "JW.Org" logo.

  i have only come across this term very recently on jwn and in an "apostate" video i watched yesterday.

  never have i heard anyone refer to jw's as "the friends" here in the uk.

  is it just used in america?.

  I heard this term the first time over 30 years ago in the Midwest USA.

  Of course, it's the biggest misnomer of all time, because there are no true "friends" in the JW world- only very conditional aquaintances.

  The draft license agreement, attached, requires submittal of the standard Certificate of Liability Insurance in advance of the placement of the brochure rack.

  No doubt the Publishers operating the cart/watching the cart from afar from the nearest Starbucks, will have to purchase this insurance themselves.

  When it comes to cash outlay to finance WT's mandates, suddenly WT (and its checkbook) are nowhere to be found.

  i think its pretty clear that the gb are power hungry.

  you cannot listen to the branch visit and not see clear as day that there are some of them that are loving the power.

  it showed the clearest with anthony morris.. now all these sex abuse scandals and news media are taking their power away.

  From, "Captives Of A Concept":

  on page 17 of the August 15, 1991 Watchtower it says:

  In the year 1919… [the Society ] came out of Satan’s organization….

  These are amazing admissions. For, according to their interpretation of Matthew 24:45-47, in 1918 Jesus was checking to make sure that the Society qualified as God’s organization, and yet he found them involved in Satan’s organization ever since he arrived in 1914!

  "[Jehovah’s Witnesses] sold themselves because of wrong practices and came into bondage to the world empire of false religion [Satan’s organization…] An outstanding instance of this occurred during World War I of 1914-1918" --November 15, 1980 Watchtower, pages 26, 27.

  On page 621 of the Proclaimers book it asks, “Was God particularly using Charles Taze Russell?” They then explain under what circumstances he would not have done so… "It certainly could not be expected that God would use C.T.Russell if he did not loyally adhere to God’s Word."

  But WT has recently rejected CT Russell as being of the FDS class, and WT has also rejected most of what CT Russell taught as god's "truth".

  So, if Russell was teaching truth, and Jesus chose Russell/WT as his spokesman, why does WT no longer adhere to Russell's teachings?
