you will find this statement on jw.org - under activities - the museum - "a tour through time.
there jw.org is featuring a slick advertisement for the tour at brooklyn, bethel, of watchtower's museum containing their version of the history of the organization.

I delved into older WT publications and was called an "apostate" by the JW elder I shared my information with.
This is yet another example of a catchy little WT phrase, but like the rest of what WT does it's not meant to actually be applied in real life.

WTS leader rants against higher education
by hoser inon jw tv.
anthony morris is ranting against higher education.
he is blaming parents for enrolling their kids in college.

He rants about no college then interviews brother Brumley who was sent by the watchtower to law school.
No doubt Brumley was wearing Spanx under his metrosexual tight pants during the interview, too.
Hypocrites.

To DocHouse: Aren't you going to answer my question Re: why you defend the WT when they have marginalized you and your type as rebellious ne're do wells??
@DocHouse: I am not an apostate to God, nor even to the WTBS.
Sorry, Doc, but according to WT you ARE an apostate for nothing more than you disagree with the GB's theology on several subjects AND you are publicly critical of the WT:
Let us therefore have nothing to do with apostates or anyone who claims to be a brother but who is dishonoring God. This should be the case even if he is a family member. (1 Cor. 5:11) We are not benefited by trying to refute the arguments of apostates or those who are critical of Jehovah’s organization. In fact, it is spiritually dangerous and improper to peruse their information, whether it appears in written form or it is found on the Internet. --W 5-15-12
"They do not receive into their homes or greet false teachers. (Rom. 16:17; 2 John 9-11) Christians avoid the literature of apostates, TV programs featuring them, and Web sites containing their teachings." --W 8-15-11
Your defying the GB's explicit orders on this subject make you an apostate in WT's eyes, whether you agree with it or not. According to the above quote, you aren't even a Christian. In fact, a person is considered to be an apostate for merely thinking about something that is contrary to WT doctrine, regardless of whether you talk about your views or not:
"Keep in mind that to be disfellowshiped, an apostate does not have to be a promoter of apostate views. Therefore, if a baptized Christian abandons the teachings of Jehovah, as presented by the faithful and discreet slave, and persists in believing other doctrine despite Scriptural reproof, then he is apostatizing". -- Letter to CO's and DO's, 9-1-1980
Are you going to answer how you justify supporting the very organization that considers you to be an apostate???

how is your family handling you not attending meeting and all that?
At first they were upset but didn't say anything. One member approached me with the intent of persuading me to change my thinking and become active again. His view was that I am nothing more than a bitter JW who was blaming god for men's mistakes and that I had been influenced by "apostate" propaganda- lies.
Once I showed him what I had discovered about WT, which is why I quit being active, from its own literature, he couldn't argue with me. In fact, he was in shock. That day was the day he began his exit, too!
I have no contact with any of my still-in JW relatives. They are too busy being JWs to even know what's going on in my life, whicj is fine by me. They are some of the most judgmental, hypocritical, loveless people I know (good JWs), and my life has been more peaceful than ever once they disappeared.

What I find fascinating about WT apologists like DocHouse is that, while they admit WT teaches falsehood ("baloney", in DH's words), they simultaneously declare it is a truthful organization. While they declare WT must be followed, and come to an apostate website to shout it from the rooftops, they also claim to have knowledge and truth the WT hasn't figured out yet.
I have ALWAYS taken the WTBS dates with a BARREL of salt - DocHouse
But, DH, the organization you are defending says you cannot take its teachings with "a barrel of salt" and still be considered a loyal JW:
"But anyone who publicly or privately advocates views that are divergent from what appears in the publications of an organization, and who does so while claiming to represent that organization, causes division." (Jv p.629)
You cannot call its teachings "absurd" and "baloney" and still be a part of the group:
"... Jehovah is not pleased if we receive that food as though it might contain something harmful. We should have confidence in the channel God is using." -- W 2-15-81
Ironically, DH says he's discovered real truth by his own study, but WT, whom he defends, says it's impossible to gain any knowledge through independent study:
"No matter how hard and seriously and prayerfully we study, we cannot get the true understanding apart from the organization and the spirit." -- W 8-15-52
"... the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible. For this reason the Bible cannot be properly understood without Jehovah’s visible organization in mind." -- W 10-1-67, p.587
"A mature Christian must be in unity and full harmony with fellow believers as far as faith and knowledge are concerned. He does not advocate or insist on personal opinions or harbor private ideas when it comes to Bible understanding. Rather, he has complete confidence in the truth as it is revealed by Jehovah God through his Son, Jesus Christ, and the faithful and discreet slave." (Watchtower, August 1, 2001, p. 14).
DocHouse, The WT says that it is the only religion that understands the Bible, and any views that are different than what the organization teaches are wrong. You defend WT yet WT says you are wrong.
How do you explain this?
"Only this organization functions for Jehovah's purpose and to his praise. To it alone God's Sacred Word, the Bible, is not a sealed book.
How very much true Christians appreciate associating with the only organization on earth that understands the deep things of God!" --W 7-1-73, p.402

Poster country flags and privacy
by Simon inthe new forum originally had a little country flag next to each post showing the country that the post was made from based on the geoip encoding (the country the ip address is from).
before i switched over to the new site someone made an issue about it violating their privacy and i didn't want to complicate and confuse the switchover with policy debate at the same time as technical issues so removed the flags even though i disagreed.. someone has already requested it as a feature and i think it should be added back so i thought it's now time to open the discussion and get everyone's opinions.
first, the reason i think it should be shown:.

DocHouse, I notice that you've spoken quite a bit about 'Churchianity' but nothing about Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam. Why is this?
DH: Those religions are complete fabrications.
Which makes the title of this thread even more hilarious:

DorkHouse's potential retort:
'Well, WT got "most of" Romans 14:8 correct, so just ignore the "baloney"/"absurd"/bulls**t parts.'
