Thank you all for such wonderful compliments and encouragement! I absolutely LOVE being this age-anything is within reach once you put your mind to it, and doors open that you never knew were there. You just have to LOOK! Now, Marist isn't in the Catskills, I AM! I live North West of the school, an hour's drive each way, but not too far for Po-town boys and girls to come to the party!

Hey all-Guess who's graduating from Marist College, with honors, just 3 days after her 47th birthday!?! Yes, ME! I want to extend a genuine invitation for all who are, or will be, in the Catskill Mnts region of upstate NY to join me for 2 days of celebration. Be sure to bring your tents and guitars! Beginning Saturday May 22nd at 3pm, through Sunday May 23rd, I will be sharing the joy of completing and honoring a promise to my son Paul, who was killed just 2 days after forcing me to enroll in college to begin with, and coming full circle by way of fulfilling my day dreams as a depressed, young, uneducated JW girl longing to be a college student! Directions are simple and available through email to all who would join me! HOORAY for me! Now I can dedicate more time to helping EVERYONE attain this goal who may feel discouraged and incapable. Too Good To Be True Yearbook Experiences

then you get jws trying to copy the examples, such as pretending to read an awake magazine on a bus, hoping someone will ask, "what are you reading that's so interesting?
" or leaving tracts in chain link fences, hoping someone will pull it out and look at it.. give some of the lame experiences you've heard, you've experienced, or make one up.

A woman who practiced "SPIRITISM" (~~ooooooh~~) was so overwhelmed by depression, chaos, and longing for the "true" religion. She asked her Ouija board for help, by pleading "Who has the true religion?" Guess what the "evil" board, propelled by only those "afraid of Jehovah's name," told her?!? You got it! "Jehovah's Witnesses!" As fate would have it they came a-knockin that very day! Now, as a 14 year old hearing this, and having spent endless nights awake, praying 8 hrs straight alone, terrified of demons (I have been left disappointed in the many years after I got out that they never visited me afterall, despite my continued invitations!) I was beyond confused. Here, as I was told, was J "using an evil implement (he is strongerthan the demons you know) to get word to her." Hmmmm.....now, either the demons were having a big joke on her, or, they aren't evil if JW's WERE the true religion, or it is actually the real angels of light who communicate through the Ouija, or,... it was endless for me. I believe none of the above anyway, but thought I would share that insanity with you. They shared that bull shit at an assembly, in the late 70's, at Monroe NY too. ICK!

avishai!!!-Be assured, please, that I did NOT take your response that way at all! This was truly a WEIRD experience, not as painful as another, compounding the many other bizarre and fatal happenings around my family, but I hold no mourning in my heart for him. Oddly, it never crosses my mind unless such a subject as this one comes up. The cluster of mysterious deaths in and around my family is worthy of documentation! I deeply appreciate your concern for me regarding your response though-just shows how we have emerged from this nightmare as better and kinder humans. Thank you!

i know that we don't see what goes on behind the scenes, perhaps the do get a "talking to" by the elders, but it seems lately that certain active jws are more bold about associating openly with exjws.. has anyone ever read anything about mjs mom's justification of her on-going relationship with mj?
i realize that situations like this (jws associating with exjws) go on all the time in the organization; it is nothing new.

Do other religions use the name Jehovah?
by JH inwhen people hear the name jehovah, they automatically think jehovah witnesses.
i know that in old catholic bibles, the word jehovah might be found or jahweh.
is it the jw's who came out with that name first or did other religions use it before the jw's?

According to my Mom when I have shown her IN PRINT, that other religions (INCLUDING some darker, Chaotic-Magic incantations!! oooooooo!!!!) are "Praising" J...; "Those people are MIS-using Jehovah's name!" BWAHAHAHAHAHA! How outrageous is that one???!!! Please be assured that HIS name is reserved esclusively for HIS people! (Oh-and of course the awesome band "Jehovah's WAITRESSES!")

Mine continued untill my late teens-hit ANYWHERE (face, neck, back, breasts, legs, buttocks, etc...) that the back of my father's hand, thick leather belt, hair brushes, shoes, horses bridles, and even the heavy ornate antique wooden door-moulding (he ripped off the doorway) could strike. When I became engaged at 18, my father (an elder) rushed out of my house to meet my fiance in the street, with a sucker punch (by an ex-marine mind you to a 17 y/o newly baptized BOY!) to his jaw, breaking it. How's that for memories? God help me if I didn't jump up, in a friendly mood, from bed the FIRST time the alarm went off! My brothers still shudder at the memory of the sounds of agony from upstairs-made them into choir-boys! Now wouldn't that make ANY kid LOVE and OBEY Jehovah?!? PTOOEY!
