  What kind of cheese do you like?

  i went to www.sensibus.com and they have 160 different kinds of cheese.

  i just do not know which cheese i want to order.

  any suggestions?

  8 october 2016. china's governing communist party is set to launch a nationwide crackdown on the christian church.. by matthew carney - abc.

  the communist party has just enacted much tougher laws that criminalise christians if they do not pledge loyalty to the state.. chinese president xi jinping has warned that all religions now have to become "chinese" and the new laws will attempt to bring churchgoers and their leaders under party control.. the new laws will put the state firmly in charge, giving the communist party the ability to hire and fire church leaders and change religious doctrine to make it more chinese.... that means churchgoers will have to pledge loyalty to the communist party first.. there is good reason to be afraid.

  chinese authorities have already started the crackdown in the christian heartland in the southern province of zhejiang.. it's been extensive and brutal.

  What is the purpose of life?

  while reading the magazines the other day it occurred to me that jws never really had a very good answer to that question.

  because it was aimed at young people and it said something along the lines, "if you believe in god you have a purpose, but if you don't believe in god your life has no purpose or meaning".

  i think that is a faulty analysis of the situation.

  my story: i am a 27 year old ex jw.

  former ms and regular pioneer at age 19. i was very active and had many "privileges" including district assembly and circuit assembly parts etc.

  as an example for young people.

  Homosexuality is a necessity and a good thing for our planet. The population is exploding at an unsustainable rate. Thinking about things from an environmental and ecological perspective, gays are the best thing going for this planet right now.

  i asked an old jw friend of mine why so many baptized individuals leave the jw religion.

  "did it ever occur to you, old friend, that maybe they know something that you don't know and have valid reasons for leaving?

  ", i asked.. his response set me back for an answer.

  I told him I left because I couldn't imagine raising kids in a Pharisaical atmosphere where I may be expected to shun my own kids or deny them life-saving medical treatment. He rolled his eyes and said I belonged in category #3: Bitten by pride.

  What's pride got to do with wanting to protect your kids from a harmful religion that alienates its young ones from normal society, then ostracizes them when they don't do every little thing the mother org. asks them to do?

  I asked an old JW friend of mine why so many baptized individuals leave the JW religion. "Did it ever occur to you, old friend, that maybe they know something that you don't know and have valid reasons for leaving?", I asked.
  

  His response set me back for an answer. He said, " The vast majority of those who leave the truth do it for one of three reasons:

  1). They want to go out and fornicate, or are already fornicating, get caught and leave.

  2). They have homosexual desires and finally go out and decide to act on those desires.

  3). They've been stumbled and their pride pushes them out."

  He outright refused to accept that some left after careful introspection and independent research. He said they only start to do those things in order to justify their immoral, prideful ways. Once they want out, they'll find any excuse they can to criticize the organization.

  Is there some truth to what he said? Perhaps some of us were in situations one, two or three which propelled us to start looking into the history and inner workings of the organization and find its flaws. What category do you fall under? I'd say I fall under category three.

  now i know i am getting older or of the older generation.

  i have had a very strange day with a lot of strange dealings with people with strange behavior today but this one incident was just over the top.

  so i came out of a store in a busy shopping center.

  FB: Well that is only Jws on a world wide scale. When in war time, which other groups will never take up arms and fight, even on threat of death. Only Jws.

  Imagine if all the major powers on earth took the stance that Watchtower did when maniacal monsters like Hitler and Tojo's gang started building empires and raping the world. How many millions-billions even - would have had to die because no one was there to stand up to them?

  It was the Catholics, the Protestants, the atheists and agnostics alike who rose to the call to stand up against evil and take them down. How long would it have taken for god to step in and take them out? Last time I checked it's 2016. They would have had another 70 years to reek havoc and destruction because as of yet, still no god has shown up to deliver mankind from anything.

  It's easy to go meekly to the gas chambers, to the prisons and to the labor camps because you are neutral to the plights of man. It's much harder to take a stand against evil and put a stop to it when it is in the power of your hand to do so.

  The purpose of life?

  Why does there have to be a purpose?

  Does a worm go about wondering what the purpose of its life is?

  Would knowing it had a purpose make the worm change its lifestyle?

  Life is for living, then you die.
