  How did your close JWs react when they found out you know TTATT?

  i'm not sure if this topic has ever been posted (surely, i believe it has), but it would be interesting to revive such a topic and hear your stories!.

  when my parents heard my first rant (after they told me to be home schooled when i was caught kissing a girl) they entered into a long depression that continues to this day.

  my father suffers knowing his once amazing family is now divided, and my mother is equally angry.

  i imagine you're reading this because either you think you can defend your beliefs victoriously or you have doubts.. i have 2 questions that i hope you can log in and answer (no one will know who you are unless you tell them or leave your page open for others to see).

  I learned that I was in a super club that has all the answers to the most pertinent questions!

  Just, we can't scrutinize those answers or we will be deceived by false knowledge and false teachers who dare refute mother! We mustn't lean on our own understanding because the flesh has fallen and only the "GUardians Of Doctrine" are immune to the darkness of this world!
  

  We are special. Only we have the truth. Only we have the true love and if you don't like it then we'll kick your ass out the club before you can say 6-0-7!

  Do what you have to do DJS. Just please refrain from dissing the trailer parks. They have been good to me!

  We need GMO's to supplement a burgeoning population that will only get larger. Also, being that I'm an amateur lepidopterist, I will support any product or technology that reduces the need for pesticide use. We do need to tread carefully though.

  Getting back on point, if those stocks are from a trust fund, who created it? Who hopes to gain from it?

  Even if it is a trust fund, the Watchtower would share in the sins of those companies who have profited from war, sex and violence if it cashes in on that trust fund.. I am not yet convinced however, that the society even knows it exists. I'd like to see more evidence.

  My Mom Is Dying

  i just wanted to say that my dear 89 year old mom is terminally ill and will soon pass.

  she is on morphine and hanging on.

  she has been a devout witness for about 60 years and a wonderful mother.

  Please be strong for her in her closing moments.

  89 years! What a long life! Many of us won't be so lucky to live such a long, full life as she has done. In Japan people who reach 88 used to be paraded throughout their village and honored on their 88th birthday. Even today they receive a special celebration from their family and sometimes even their community.

  Please keep her alive by preserving the happy memories you have with her in your heart.

  Does Anyone Still Believe in God?

  do any of you ex-jw's still believe in god?

  even with the new rebranding/softening of this religion, i still don't see how people can believe in him.

  the god of the old testimate is an angry murderer who approved rapes and slavery and killed thousands of men, women and children.

  No. I don't believe in the god of the bible. I do believe that Jesus was a profound man who taught some good things useful for our life today.
  

  This beautiful planet is the closest thing to a god for me. I stand in awe and wonder of the things existing on and in her. She is a beautiful queen and an abusive **ich at the same time. Some of the most beautiful skies I have ever seen are just before a killer typhoon. Beautiful jungles are loaded with living organisms that want to kill you etc.

  I'm always willing to look at any evidence provided, though.

  It's got to be annoying that they keep changing the meeting formats every few years. Most people want stability and routine when they go to their indoctrination sessions. They can't even get that anymore.

  an after death communication (or adc) is when a loved one sends a kind of message to this side of life after their death.

  it can be a dream or smell (like perfume or roses that would be attached to them in memory) or a feeling of their presence.

  Sorry. I got nothing. Never seen or felt nothin'. I've even sat in the middle of a huge Buddhist graveyard near my house - in the middle of the night - all alone hoping to feel or sense something from beyond the veil. Even my Stephen King induced imagination couldn't conjure up anything unusual. I guess some of us just don't have the sixth sense.

  I once saw an episode from the TV show Unsolved Mysteries years ago that dealt with that same incident. It freaked the hell out of me. That show was so awesome and believable as a kid.

  So that was what the neighbors were screaming their bloody heads off over! i was wondering what all the shouting and celebrating was about. My interest ends after baseball, American football, basketball and ice hockey.
