Trinity, Immortality of the soul, Hell fire... Homosexuality
by irondork inmost people here who have spent any amount of time studying the bible will agree that the bible allows for more than one interpretation of these topics.
well, the first three topics, anyways.. reading the gay marriage discussions on this board i see a common thread weaving its way through: no acknowledgement whatsoever that there is an equally valid interpretation of the bible that does not condemn homosexuality.. once in a while i will see the word trinity mentioned on this forum and no big deal is made of it (for the most part).
trinitarian and non-trinitarian teachings are accepted as variations of the christian understanding of the bible without any judgment being made regarding the genuineness of that person's christian identity or relationship with god.. mention the word homosexuality, and there is a huge difference in attitude.

what I found interesting was, you actually prompted me to htink about a subject from a different point of view ... that is as one of humanity, a person, with feelings, thoughts, beliefs etc.
I never really could understand the semantics of the arguuements (gay - Christian) the clash, you know.
I would just think - '' i dont get it, if it says in the bible it is wrong, it goes against God's laws, he told us so, it's unnatural etc.... Jesus also said the same... so why are gays even bothered ? why dont they just go on their way and say, it don't matter none, I am what I am, i live my own life, I don't care what other people think. And I couldn't get my head around it. It was in itself a contradiction in terms, you cannot have both. just like I can't get my head around the whole gays wanting marriage etc .... because of the whole christianity thing, again, its a contradiction in terms. ''
However, since I have read your posts, I have had my eyes and mind and heart opened up a little bit more..... to new understanding from the other persons point of view.
It never once crossed my mind that a gay person could/was/is actually a Christian also. In that, a deep love and respect for God and his message. It made me realise how conflicting this scenario must be for someone in that position. Torturous. i am fortunate in that I have never adopted any attitudes of racism, bigotry, hate etc and this is how I try to raise my children. My ex-husband is another kettle of fish altogether. Racist, bigot, homo-phobic.... etc. But also spineless, cowardly, devious, deceitful and dishonest. An ignorant brain dead man. ( is why he my ex .. lol)
I would never want one of my own children to be so conflicted. It would not make a bit of difference to me if they turned out gay. I would not stop loving them. They are safe in this knowledge.
Peopel need to focus on what LOVE IS. If I had time now I would post up what the Bible says... maybe I can do it later.

irondork - excellent information. I have started to read it and I have found it very informative as a reasonable debate. People tend to focus to much on the unimportant things, rather than the importance of the message. People believe what they are brought up to believe, or choose to believe, it is only by education and socialisation to make it possible to change mind-sets.
At the end of the day it is irrelevent what someone believes, or thinks, each person should live their own life how they choose to, not how they are told/forced to by threats of punishment etc. Everybody has the right to live a happy life and feel safe and loved in their life. And that means EVERYONE irrelevent of age, race, religion, nationality, sex, and i certainly think a persons sexual preferences are nobody elses business. People need to focus on their own lives, not others.
That's the importance of the message they are forgetting, getting wrapped up in laws and rules and regulations. Jesus kept it simple. men have complicated everything, power and control is the driving force.We all face judgement/the grave oneday. It is not for man to judge, he has been giving no power to represent God.
I used to hold the 'christian'view of being gay etc. Now I don't, it's none of my business. I'm still christian, i still believe. People need to realise healthy debate is good for informing and breaking down barriers. What matters is treating another human being as you would yourself want to be treated. kindness.
I found your post very informative and enjoyed reaading up on the Biblical side of it. It was great. Thank you.

I'm so thankful I found this site. You set me free. Haven't read a thing of there's or been to a meeting. Can't risk being seduced, I'm a weak one. lol. Funny thing is, I am so much more spiritual as a result, I have done indepth study, I've learned loads, I have met great people, shared their stories etc. It's amazing. i have new figure for life, I am living, not waiting for the big A. I'm more relaxed in my life as i'm not as restricted in the things I can read, watch, say, do etc.
i have totally wrecked my boyfriends head though ... ha hahahahha .... he must think I'm nuts. IT'S THE TRUTH, it's gonna happen, this, that, the other, FACT..... lol
now I'm NO.....its not the truth ... THIS IS THE TRUTH , so on, so forth. ........... haahhahaa It's like a comedy,horry,sad movie.
UN TURNING ON RELIGION .... is the BIG thing there are focused on now, it's their energy now, keeping them going as it is major sign for THE START of gt, big A.. Jehovah puts it into their hearts (UN) REMEMBER ..... that is why it will be such a huge shock. Jehovah does it. So it WILL happen.
Also Satan is causing all of the upset on the earth at the moment, as he is bound to the earth, the wars etc ... these things act as a distraction to the kings of the earth, so that they may not start thinking about God and Armageddon and see that revelation and bible prophecy are being fulfilled. Satan is keeping them blinded.
There is already hype now about it. They are at the edge of the cliff now, again. hyped up. Praying for it, needing it, as they are so worn out and ground down after so many years of slavery. The excitement is now, that this year 2013 gonna be big, and if it doesn't happen this year, there will be a lot going on in the way of things getting worse and then it will HAVE TO BE next year. 2014. 100 yrs.
Hopefully many many more people will start to rebel, even if it is out of desperation, at least they will hopefully find this site and get the help they need.
YOU ALL should be very proud that you have all helped a lot of people and of your efforts are gratefully appreicated by many. Every poster that posts helps.

Slaves are workers. If you think of the master as the rich plantation owner (equally applicable to the corporation model) (factory) , the workers are the overseers (in charge of running plantation and house and caring for the other workers like, foremen, labours, hose staff etc etc... (domestics (wild animals, domestic farm animals). It is still a structure of organisation, positions or roles of power and responsibilty, down the rung to the bottom, the lower class workers.
So if the slaves (workers) in higher positions of responsibility don't take proper care of things and abuse said positions over the other workers ... when the master, boss, returns unexpectantly he finds out what is going on. They are not doing what they are supposed to/say to be doing. They will receive the greater punishment ... there are in the worst position and they know they are in serious trouble now they have been caught out. whereas the other slaves, workers diligently get on with the work and get it done (faithful and discreet)
Corruption. It got corrupted. poisoned. dark. wicked. evil slave.

brilliant.
It's weakness. When someone joins a club/gang and realises later they have made the wrong choice ... it's so easy to walk away. They are in a position of being powerless. The conflict is massive mentally and emotionally. It does say a lot about the 'sort' of people who get drawn in by the Bible, God, Jesus, moral codes, the Christian ethos....
The positive for us all is that because of experiencing, becoming ensnared ..... we should all be proud that we are good, normal, decent, honesthearted kind people who were drawn to this thing for a reason, but we don't need to be part of a cult, we know the real deal and it is easy.... because it comes naturally to us.We know what real love is, what real friendship is, what real family is, because we have these things.
We appreciate sunny days. Restful days. Fun days. Nature. Science. People. Art. Books/education. Friends. We are thankful for. We are free. slaves no more.

there will soon be many jws jumping ship i think. from what I hear, they are not so good when it comes to charitable work.
