GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!
by Butters ini cannot believe what i saw happen today at the store.. i was at wal-mart browsing various electronics and digital cameras and such, when i heard behind me, "brother hardy, how are you!"...
first thing i thought was oh shit, they found me, and forgot my real name, or have me mixed up with someone else.. turns out, this disfellowshiped witness was there at the store and saw one of his congregation members there.
now i personally have never been part of the shunning process myself, but here i am, an ex-jw watching from the other aisle, a bunch of shit that i never thought i would see the lights of day on.... the brother, this "hardy" i guess, looked up at the man with a smile, but then when he realized who it was, he immediately frowned and started pushing his shopping cart away looking straight ahead and not even acknowledging the man... (here's where i jump in..).

Did you get the new tract?
by kid-A injust wanted to run an informal poll to see how "effective" or hopelessly "ineffective" the borg tract assimilation drive has been.. i for one, have not received the tract, and i live in densely populated development.
did anybody get it left in their doors/mailboxes?.

I have not received one yet and probably won't because my community is gated. My dad received one and he is on the do not call list. He said they did not even knock on his door.

In the past when I lived in my home state they tended to avoid my house. On the off chance they did come by I would tell them I could get any literature I wanted from my mom. If they were pushy well the gloves came off and I would tell them what I thought of their history and treatment of the df'd. I live in a new state now and if they come by I have decided to act interested. When they come with the new tract I will say that I am disguisted with religion and wonder what the future holds. I will be starting an extended maternity leave soon and this should give me something to do. Hopefully I can get a bible study started and plant some doubts along the way.

Can you function w/o your cell phone?

he lives in another state and i had to wait for it to be overnighted to me.
i could not believe how crazy i went without it.

My six year old nephew has his own cell phone. He is involved with so many activties its just easier to keep in touch with him if he has a cell. His parents attached safeguards. Not just anyone can call him. It has to be a preapproved number before it will get through. Still I do like the idea of being able to control when someone can call you. I have to have mine on all the time because of work. I guess I am not one of those people that can relax if I don't have my cell with me.

I could not believe how crazy I went without it. I was checking my VM every hour and I felt naked without my cell. I felt stressed out about it as well. It even kept me awake at night. When the postman brought it to my door to sign for I wanted to hug him. I cannot believe I felt like that. Compared to what others go through my lost cell phone was pretty trivial. Anyone else feel like that when they don't have their cell?

That's right. And when he finally does get caught, it'll hit the papers if it's serious enough, and then we'll read about it here.
He doesn't do anything illegal as far as I know. He's a womanizer at worst. It would not surprise me if he gets a woman pregnant one of these days and he gets hit with a paternity suit. That is the closest he will come to the courts.

One other thing I find ironic is the amount of xjw's that know about his double life and his antics. Anyone of them could blow him out of the water at anytime. He knows they won't because that would be something a JW would do. His JW friends would turn him in in a heartbeat but he feels he is above xjws. What a joke.

Butters,
He has not done anything to me that he needs forgiveness from me for. He certainly is a hypocrite but I love him none the less. I hope he does leave the org one day and for the life of me I don't know why he stays. I am not going to try and get him out. If he wants to stay a witness fine with me.

by Zone ini'm launching a out out blitzkreg on these people, for two reasons only.. 1. to get them saved.. 2, and if they want to, get them holy ghost filled.. 3 years of research, and it's pretty sad that most of these people won't even see the promise land, because alot of them deny being saved, and refsue to recieve salvation when offered.
it's also pretty sad that these people the church is apart of false religion (conderticts ephisians 4:11 and really would put ezekiel 38-39 null invoid), the holy spirit is god's active force (multiple verses).
most of them will evenrefuse to talk to you, if you ask a question that bad mouthes the watchtower society.

You are wasting your time. Besides not to be mean or anything but I find fundies who try to "save" me to be just as obnoxious and just as annoying as the witnesses. Concentrate on yourself and your life and don't worry about other peoples souls. It's not your responsibility.

Does anyone see the UN as having any power?
by free2beme ini remember growing up as a witness and thinking that the un was this great world power.
i remember hearing how it was part of this global plan of the end of days, and how jehovah would use it to fulfill prophecy.
now, i see the un as a giant waste of time and money and if it was disbanded tomorrow, i think it would be the best thing for the world.
