Francois what a sad story. It's been so long since I've been affected by a love story like that. Is their any chance you could get in touch with her? Do you know what has become of her? It sounds like almost a tragedy if you don't end up with this woman.

Misplaced Loyalty
by YoursChelbie indo you know of a person who has been treated really bad in a marriage and yet still remains loyal to that person even after the marrriage has ended?
this has puzzled me for some time.
why do some people have an abnormal, misplaced loyalty for another human who has caused them so much harm?

There is actually a guy in my family that puts up with abuse from his wife. She has cheated on him him with 2 different guys (that he knows of) multiple times. They have 3 kids and surprise surprise the youngest is not even his. DNA test proved that. She is verbally abusive and to him and calls him worthless because he does not make a lot of money. She takes lousy care of the kids and drinks too damn much. We stopped asking ages ago why he stays. He says I love her and given enough time it can work. HELLO!! You've given it 10 years. We just stay out of it. My dad has made it very clear his wife is not welcome in his house when she is drunk. I feel so sorry for the kids.
I will NEVER understand why he puts up with this!!! He was not raised in that kind of environment.

Teens in the conregations?
by little witch ini have been out for over twenty years, i left a soon as i was legally able.
it seems that around the same time, most of the teens who were my age, left around that same age.
for those of you who still attend meetings and so forth, are teens still going?

I still have some contacts at my old congregation and there are 5 teenagers. Only 2 are considered spiritually strong and most people think that the other 3 will leave when they turn 18. I did find out that there is a 14 year old that attends and she had herself removed as an unbaptized publisher. Her mother is acting like she DA'd herself and is treating her as such. She still forces her to go to KH when she has her. Fortunately she lives with her father 50% of the time and he is taking steps to get full custody of her now that she has reached an age to where the courts will listen to her.

i did for a while, and it didn't really bother me, until i was starting to miss meetings.. did you, or would you have liked to have a witness as a neighbour?

I did for about a year when I was on my own for the first time. I'd been gone from the org for 2 years. They would report things back to my mom when I would throw parties. I told them on more than 1 occassion to mind their own fu***** business. That got back to her too. I moved when my lease was up.

by run dont walk ini left the borg after a 5 year struggle at home.
the best way for me to leave was to move across the country from east to west, (still wasn't far enough), i was unemployed at the time and had no real opportunities, so my girlfriend at the time (not a jo-ho)(who my family never met) and i headed out west.
now, i returned home about 3 years later when my dad past away, and at the funeral, people were coming up to me asking me how the west was and how was my new congregation, can you believe this.

Did you cheat on your monthly report?
by JH ini was always honest with my field service reports, until the time when an elder came over to give me hell because i had only 1 hour that month in the field service.
i told him that i was working 50 hours a week, had a 4 day district convention that month and couldn't do miracles that month.
he never accepted my explanation.. .

Absolutely! 10 hours every month, 12 mags, and 2 RV. In reality most months I did not put in an hour. I know a lot of other people who did the same thing. There is no way in hell those hours reported in the KM every month are accurate.
