I would not lose any sleep stealing from the WT. Of course I would do it if I could get away with it.

Any talks from the hall or assembly still stick out in your mind ???
by run dont walk ini will never forget a talk at the assembly where the speaker had a 6 year old child on stage,.
and the experience went something like this.. while at school, the child said something to another schoolmate to the effect of ............................. "i cannot associate with you, because bad association spoil useful habits.".
"and if you don't serve jehovah, you will be destroyed at armageddon.".

There was a local needs talk given in my honor for listening to the band Guns N' Roses. That was by far the most memorable. I still listened to the band and made sure the elders knew about it. I wonder whatever happened to that band.

What is the best thing and worst thing about being a JW?
by micheal ini would say the best thing is when one has just started studying and coming to meetings for the first time they are treated like gold.
but things really start to detiroriate quickly from there.
the worst thing is the control.

best thing- can't think of anything
worse thing- the way it fu*ks with your mind, scars you for life, and robs you of your childhood.

How many of you went to the elders when you / someone did something wrong ?
by run dont walk ini've read a lot of threads of late, where people stated when they did something wrong they would go the elders the next day and confess.. i find this truly bizzare !!!.
okay, maybe i didn't have a conscience as a jw, i did alot of things wrong, but, that would be the f--kin' day i would go to the elders and confess anything.
i would never tell those old goots anything, because then they would have something to hang over you for a long time.

There is no way I would go to them for anything. On the other hand they always came to me without fail when they thought I had done something wrong.

Kobe charged ! so sad !, will JW's use him as an example for their young ?
by run dont walk inanytime something went wrong in the world with an individual, they would use them as example over and over and over again.. the most common one i heard was brother a got into big trouble with __________ (insert problem here, pick any one), see this is what happens when you leave the organization.. so how many jw's will be saying ............. "did you hear what happened to kobe, big successful athlete, see he didn't have god's organization and satan got him.".
i wonder how many jw parents especially in the la area will make their kids stop wearing number 8. he did and admit to committing adultrey.
sexual assault, i don't think so.

They probably did. Remember Jordan's wife, and what she was going to get from him if she divorced? Crazy money.
Michael Douglas agreed to pay Catherine Zeeta Jones an extra $5,000,000 if he cheats on her. According to the papers she gets $1.5 million for each year they stay married. If she cheats on him then she will waive her right to that money up to $5 million dollars. So if she cheats on him within the first 3-4 years of their marriage she walks away with nothing.
But if they are cheated on too many times they'll stop believing this and bail on the relationship or find someone else on the side.
I have a family full of cheaters. I've seen a lot of shit go down. I have an aunt that will never leave my uncle and he has cheated on her multiple times. My cousin's husband cheated on her and he was not very remoursful. I think he was just sorry he got caught. She stayed until she finished her degree and got a job. Her husband begged her to come back to the marriage after she left. He said he would go to counseling and make changes but it was too late. She did not want him anymore.

Poor?!?! I'll tell ya, finances will never be a worry again for her. She can divorce the guy, and take him for all he's got. Then she can marry someone who won't cheat on her. This is her meal ticket...LOL
It's almost unheard of for a celebrity to get married without a prenup. I hope her lawyer stuck a bad boy clause in theirs if they have one. Kobe's wife can get a hell of a lot of child support.

Hasn't that topic already been debated to death on another thread?

A question for the ladies?????
by Maverick ini have noticed that when the ladies post pictures of "hunks" these guys have no body hair.
when i was a gymnast many of the guys would cut their hair real short and shave their chests and stomachs and oil them to get a better, more defined look.
i always thought chest hair was "manly" so i never did it.

I prefer no body hair. I don't like the feel of a hairy body. Smooth all the way.
