Yes! Elders do ask whether a condom was used. And they ask even more detailed questions that border on being pervy that you would think there is no reason to ask. The condom question is used to establish premeditation and intent.
No condom. The accused says no, that things got out of hand pretty quick and it all happened so fast. Goes to no intent to commit sin.

I am inclined to go along with cedars and Londo (sorry LisaRose) that the GB is caught up in its own collective image of itself and is blind to the truth about the truth. Maybe a few individuals in their quiet moments may wonder, but I think they still shake it off and focus on the supposed higher responsibility entrusted to them. That interesting jwfacts about your dad. That's the way it was with me for years, Oh I knew something was not right but I could not bear to seriously investigate as I knew where it would lead. When I finally did...oh well.

How about COs or DOs? The traveling guys really are in a precarious spot should they ever doubt. I know that many elders doubt, I was one and I eventually left. So I am sure their are many still serving, going along to get along.

our friendship has endured thru days of pioneering together, bethel and now full fledged post jw apostasy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1.
what we were talking about was other friends of ours who went thru and endured some severe bullshit at bethel.
Once I realized the truth about "the truth" I decided I would fade rather than bolt for the door under the mistaken notion that I would soften the blow of my leaving to my lifelong JW friends. My closest JW friend, who happened to be PO, even said that he and I could get together privately and talk about my concerns. I agreed, and gave him a written list of conerns as conversation points. We agreed to meet the next weekend. He called that day and said that something had come up and he couldn't make it. So we agreed on meeting the next Saturday. He cancelled that too. We never talked about it again.
And those supposed friends that you wish to spare something? Don't put too much effort in that. They will drop you like a brick once it is known that you no longer support the Org with all you have.

i've been out of the organization for about 4 years now, but have been in limbo since i've left.
the more i learn about world religions, the less apt i am to accept anything as truth, since there are so many similarities between so many religions.
i know many cultures have flood myths involving 40-ish days and 8 survivors (the chinese written language has many surprising allusions to biblical stories).
Hi KitchenWit...I am similar to Apognophos' comment. I don't mind not knowing any more. I have read a lot over the years since leaving and found that the most insightful writers admit that what humans know for sure is quite limited. I believe the whole 'god' mystery to be beyond us. At the same time, I do not mind at all when others have absolute faith in their beliefs. It doesn't work for me any more, but then, neither does left-handedness. So I don't bother.
"If" god is all as is claimed of 'him' I would wish that he be a bit more revealing to us. I am not heard-hearted about any of it and will change my mind at even the smallest of revelations.

i've been out for a few years now, but when i was in, we frequently had to purchase "vehicle parking passes" several weeks before the start of our district assembly (depending on the coliseum or stadium being rented at the time).
it was usually $5.00 and you were given a 10" x 4" (or so) card with the assembly title/theme printed on.
according to the instructions from a branch letter that was read out loud (usually at the end of the service meeting), this card had to be placed on the right side of your dashboard such that the dub parking attendants can easily see it as you drive through the parking entrance.
Oh for sure. The WT Society made sure to keep the elders on the ball about getting the publishers to purchase parking passes weeks ahead at their local congregation. Collect the money and send it to Brooklyn. I recall $6.50 per car x 4,000 cars = 26,000. The Society $$LOVES Jehovah's provision of assemblies and conventions. Do not be misled, these are money-making operations.
when i visit the jw.org website, can the wts it department know that i've also visited this site?
i use a freeware program called ccleaner but i don't use it every time after i've visited here.
i also don't know if my browser (i usually use ie9 or chrome) keeps records of my browsing history, independent of the ones on my pc that ccleaner deletes, that can be accessed by big brother wts.
I work in IT. You have nothing to worry about, unless there is some sort of federal investigation or something. Others have already correctly stated that an IP address comes from your internet provider and it does not identify you per se. And when you log off from your internet provider that IP address is assigned to someone else. It's like 74.125.227.68 logged in. Who the heck is that?

while it is true that jehovahs witnesses are hated and opposed in all the nations of the earth, this is in fulfillment of what was foretold to be an identifying mark of genuine worshipers of the one living and true god.
SURPRISE! People do not care and certainly are not thinking about Jehovah's Witnesses one way or another. JWs have a persecution complex. Not real. Irrelevant.
