Jan 2014 WT study - more vomit
by EndofMysteries inarticles such at "100 years of kingdom rule" in which jehovah has 'in a sense' begun ruling as king, and jesus in a sense was made king.
even though the kingdom hasn't actually come.
it's not clear if the 1,000 year reign has began or not, if so only 900 years left of jesus rule?

Beginning of Electronic Assemblies?
by Fading Begins indo you think this could have been an experiment to see how smoothly these events can be processed, and what the reaction is from the rank and file?
it would sure save a lot of money if events like this could replace at least the one day circuit assemblies.
there has to be some recognition that the "flock" is becoming weary and they don't have the funds to be travelling to these events.

Please correct me if my thinking if off.
Assemblies are prime money making events for the WTBTS, therefore they will never replace them with electroinc events. They view the flock as tight fisted and needing to give more than they do. The WTBTS has no interest in saving the flock's money.

How to break up a "friendship" with a JW who is (still!) trying to convert me
by Sofi inok, so i never had the courage to tell this people i was df'd a long time ago... just kept "studying" here and there because i felt lonely and they were so persistent.
last time i saw this woman, we had a heated argument (was more like a monologue) where i told them why i think the wts is wrong on the blood subject.
she is still sending me texts about when is she going to see me again to "study" (bringing in the "closer": a regular pioneer we both know).

How about...I like you. I like talking to you.But I don't want to study. I don't believe most of it anyway. Let's just go out sometime for a drink and chips?
That would be perfectly nice and friendly. Maybe she will say ok and take you up on it. Probably she won't. Then you will know, but it will be on her. You have every right to say that you don't want to study and that you don't believe it.

Annual Meeting Agenda
by Bob_NC inpresented under the guise of jehovah's progressive organization and/or speeding things up during the last days.
1. announcements about "simplifying arrangements" worldwide, consolidations, moving operations from one country to another.
a smoke screen for shutting down facilities and laying off workers.

I want to joke and say that this comes directly from Jehovah, since we are all used to that sort of thing. But, my apologies, I should have qualified my post as pure conjecture aka speculation. However, it is all based on information stirred around over the past few weeks.

Don't touch that dirty Microphone
by Quarterback inyuck..sitting in front of me, today, i saw an elder picking his nose while his wife was commenting on the wt study.
then with the same hand, he grabbed the microphone and passed it back to the microphone carrier.
he didn't even have a kleenex.

Yuk! Also, never shake a man's hand while he is eating a sandwich.
Yesterday I was at the local mall eating a Subway sandwich when I see a husband and wife from my neighborhood pass. He is looking unusually scrappy. He is always somewhat scruffy, but now even more so. Long silver hair and scraggly white beard. He likes to brag that he retired at age 48. Anyway, he comes by and puts out his hand for a handshake. I olbilge and carry on the small talk. Now I don't want to touch my food. I have no idea where his scrappy hands have been.

Passing a resolution a painful experience
by stillin ineverybody knows it's going to pass.
nobody ever asks if possibly that much money for the circuit overseer's whatever isn't a bit too much, or whatever else the congregation is being asked to agree to.
then the call to raise your hand if in favor of doing the "right thing.

I say pass the resolution and then stop contributing.
