Like your comments and subject!? If a person lose their very base for living, you must have something to replace it with, before they are crashing! Therefore never ever argue on a personal level, just argue about thoughts, ideas, from their own conscience. If they cannot see the trouble their ideas has for humanity, about shunning people, about homosexuals, about blood transfusions a.s.f. there is no idea, continuing argument. Remember the little boy in the Anderson saga “The new clothes for the King”. He only told other people what he actually saw. And all the grown adults must agree with him.

Arguments must be based on one’s own thoughts. Something you really can see for yourselves. If the persons have any conscience by his/her own, he/she will gradually change their mind, and sooner or later they understand how wrong a former viewpoint was. I have passed that process during 20 years and I am still not Shure, that my present Atheistic , will be the idea that I will have when I dies.

Here you have another atheistic beliver. For even Atheism is just a´ belive. I was a JW for over 20 years. Even an elder.

during these 20 years I remember concentration in pushing away all "odd" questions that my congr. and GB never spoke about. Then I decided to find out what was real, and what other thinkers already had thought. I signed in for University studies for over 3 years. Subject History of Ideeas and Science, Philosify, and Archoeolog. From my last year in University I was turned in to clean clear atheist, even though one of my professors also was serving as a catholic priest. I often wundred why such an educated men, turn into religion again? His answer was that Religion and science has nothing to do with one another. But just the searching for Good shows that the human brain is dedicated to find security, knowledge, stability and some/any answer that satisfy our hunger for knowledge.

Perhaps you could start with reading Karen Armstrong "The battle for Good". The book goes through many fundamentalistic believs during a 1000 years. (Karen was a catholic nun for over 10 years and is now a professor in Theology at Oxford.) Her ideas can show you very much about how faith does much harm.

I am sorry to say that I think I have to correct you on one point you say quote:

But the fact is that atheist in general is not AGAINST GOOD...

They just dont belive in his/hers existence. It is diffic.to to be AGAINST someone you dont even belive exist. Some atheist would prefer that Good

existed, but since He/she is obvoiusly is absent (deists) it is more likely that he doesn´t exist.

Some international organization have listen the top ten countries to live in. Norway was number one, but the other Scandinavian countries where all on the top 10. Also Schweiz had a very god place to defend. The problem for all these countries is of course is the weather, wich is almost impossible. Another backlash for them was that they all were among the most expencive countries to live in. (Norway, Schweiz worst). But schools are all free and excellent. You will have your retirepaymant from 65 years of age. Almost all treatmentcare for diesaes are free (important if you are older). Summertimes is quite nice. Consequently Sweden, Norway and Denmark, Finland are the most seqularized countries in the world. We dont need a congregation or a Good, we have the state, taking care of us. Only 4% of swedens population have attended any service at a church during one year. And I guess a large part of these 4% are from mouslim contries, attending the mosks finaced from Saudi Arabia.

More failed JW chronology

ive just been reviewing my timeline of the divided jewish monarchy and the neo-babylonian period.

i decided to check for correlations of egyptian and assyrian rulers mentioned in the bible that i had not previously considered at all (much less tried to make fit a particular year).

i was happy (though unsurprised) that no adjustments were required.. pharaoh tirhakah (taharqa) (2ki 19:8, 9; isa 37:8, 9) insight (volume 2, page 1109) claims the years assigned to him by historians must be wrong.

Thousands of people have for more than thousands of years tried to calculate dates and differences between all the kingdoms, Kings, rulers, in order to get a proven time schedule in the Bible. They have all failed. So even the WBTS. The only thing all these attempt’s show us is THAT THE BIBLE ITSELF IS INACCURATE, for doing this. The Bible itself cannot be read in this manner. It is a very old poetic book full of legends and sagas, from a time that we know very little about.

Trying to use the Bible as un History book with facts, it’s like driving on I long and narrow ”dead end” street, ending up with a large roundabout , only offering you to go back on the same road again. When we use the bible, we can only use it to get information how ancient people thought. What they believed. How they act and hope that we have developed it bit from this stadium

Some friday morning reflections

just reading all the aawa related topics this morning and it makes me really sad.

i'm not related to aawa, just a fader in western europe and a longtime member of h2o and later on jwd.. it makes me sad to see what's the legacy of the watchtower society religion: kgb style betrayal of family members, making screenshots of facebook group members, just to betray their christian brother and sister to the elders, to interrogate them, try to confess their faults and correct them aggressively.

this behaviour places our religion definitly at the dark pages of history.. it makes me sad to see that some group of good peope, forming an association, then some things going wrong with the important and sacred topic named privacy.

Agree with you. The only thing I feel responsible for is participating in "the service" during 15-20 years. I wich I could go back to every one i have had i "study" with and take back all of what I have learned these people. But I guess that every one must have the right to make his own choice how idiotic it ever seems to be?

Governing Body Hates Higher Education Because It Destroys Their Delusion

their hate is transfered to the faithful rank and file and manifested in their forbidding it to the young who will surely see the ignorance of their delusion.

narcissistic delusions of divine appointment are resisted at the expense of the young.. they hate higher education to the same extent they hate psychiatry because both tread on their delusion and identify it in clear terms..

As to an answer to Dissmissing servant I would like to reply that elders in Sweden strongly recommend no higher education. They know as well as the GB that a person is lost if they attend any university classes. I have 6 children, all of them groving up as JW,s. But along with myself all of them "lost" to the world outside. All of them have gratuated in a university level, to my great happyness. I also see audult members starting new University/collage education, becouse of the need to get a job. After graduation, they leave tha congreation.

You are quite right. Beeing a JW,s in Sweden is almost impossible. The congregations is almost only spending their service time with immigrants and refugitives comming from Africa, Iran, rumania and other places with less knowledge in modern science.

Almost every interssed person at KH, is there only to make social relatives and learn Swedish

Here´s is my comment. The GB perhaps hate education/knowledge because they think it is the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge. But if God created our mind, brain, scull, so impressive, why did he forbid us to use it?

In my country almost 50% of the population has higher education. Consequently, Sweden is recorded to be one of the most secularized countries in the world. All higher education is free of charge on our ordinary universities. Consequently if you are looking for a job that req. any sort of skills, your chances of becoming on “the possibly” lists is zero with no university degree or higher educ.

But from the philosophical point of view why did Jehovah forbid Adam and Eve to eat from the tree. Was it that he/she didn´t want his/her children to know that it are the earth circling round the Sun. Did he not want his children to understand that many diseases come from bacteria? Was he afraid of his children understanding that earthquakes, tsunamis, eruptions comes from his creation. Was he afraid of that they should discover electricity? A.s.f.

If we humans creates a robot that is curious, intelligent, smart…. We will all be very happy when we can see trace of smartness, intelligence and curiosity.

What is it then God are hidden for us? A good God/father would never ever keep any facts and knowledge from his children. Facts keep them alive. At a university only proven facts are thought. In every classroom at a university you learn to support your arguments by controllable fact.

Unfortunately the GB hates facts. Facts proof them to be liars. Their whole credability undermines if more and more people know the facts, about the Bible, facts about the ages of mankind. Facts about the first Christians. A.s.f.
