Who leaves first, the husband or wife?

when it comes to a simple matter of no longer believing the teachings of jw's, it appears to me that it's more common for the husband to make the first move to leave the religion.

In my case I faded and Dfd. Over 15 years ago. But my wife still in. I think she knows about the TTATT, but doesn’t want to speak about it (cognitive dissonance?).. Here is my theory about why…

There is a small difference between males and females… Females know that they are responsible for given birth to children!. They often also understand what is expected from them, to raise these children and keep them alive till they can take care of themselves. This is of course an overwhelming task for a single mum. Therefore her first whishes is to find security. This in a cave with a man or in a female cooperative !!! Unsecure women know that men can´t be trusted…They need social security and lots of “friends” that they can trust. The “sisters” in any congregation offers gladly this support. This naturally if they can have the same support in respond. This pattern of “sisterhood” is not only valid amongst humans. You could trace this amongst almost any mammals. Elephants, dohlphins, lions, chimpanzees and humans.

The congregations offers a secure place with strict rules. Therefore it is life important that you keep to the rules, behave like your “sisters” or mums tells you, keep your veil on, your long black dress on, don´t wear tight pants…..

This is something I have been ponder about during 20 years being the father of 4 marvelous girls..

Please Focus on the Bible

hi people, may i firstly thank those who have responded to to my intro article, i am replying to you all as a new topic because the direct messaging is not working for me at the moment so i can clarify my perspective on bible study.

yes there are many arguments that are put forward to demonstrate for example that the bible has been composed of numerous preexisting creation story's ect, my focus is to give the bible the same opportunity to defend itself as anyone reasonably expects if charged with some crime they are not guilty of.. i find for example the account of jesus response when questioned about the divorce certificate 'but it was not so in the beginning' confirms that moses allowed changes to be made to the original, that said consider also the religious traditions moses people had been exposed to, the story of the god enki who seduced even his own grandchildren and the well known incest of the egyptian royalty, given the genetic cost, are such practices any more right now than they were then?

communities that practice close relative marriages today are well documented for there higher risk of numerous health problems so how would you find moses on that basis, guilty or not guilty as jesus did because he understood why moses took the creation story's of other cultures and gave his people there own creation story that taught them to avoid the general pagan practice of incest.before looking any deeper at moses creation story may i also ask the question why does jesus knowing that god promised he would never again destroy the world by a flood as he did in noah's day say 'as in the days of noah ..the flood came and took them all away' so what did jesus actually mean mt 24:.

I am not aware of the existence of god. But I must say that I am aware of the non- existence of any god or goddesses. The proof for my theory is very simple, if god is good and merciful, gentle and forgiving, loving , how can he let his bellowed children suffer on this earth. How can he/she? Just leave his children to slaughter one another. How can he create viruses, cancer, earth cracks, tsunamis and so on and on and on…….

The absence of gods was discussed from the 1600 th centuries in the so called enlightenment period. And it is still difficult for humans to understand fully the consequences of this insight. Religious leaders, from most of the existing cultural or “great” religions are scared to death that their followers in a greater extend will understand these consequences. These “black coat, darkness men” will lose all their respect, all influence, all their bank accounts, and all their prestige, when the rest of the world will find them as frauds.

Humans are predators. And as predators on the topmost level, regardless of what “wholly book” we prefer to believe in, we kill and slaughter each other in a scale that is frightening.

My dogs, my cats, my sheep’s, seems to have a much higher standard of moral and ethics, then , the “average” humans that interpret The “wholly books”, or listen to those who claim that the know the will of god.

as a witness, i knew several men who attempted to grow beards.

when they did, and attended meetings, it did not take long to be talked to by elders and told, "as spiritual men, they should not display an outward form of rebellion.

" why was this a form of rebellion?

I remember an elderly meeting after an assembly where the Co, s and the area overseers where participating. I think we were over 50 elders, and the report from the income and comments of the success from the assembly were discussed when the area oversees suddenly took up a BIG problem. One of the elders, a person I did know personally, over 70 years of age, grey haired and very gentlemanly dressed, had grown a moustache?!! A little grey very sober, even sometimes very difficult to observe moustache that looked very nicely upon him. The Co,s and the area overseer, raged upon him, and the atmosphere in the meeting was totally a disaster. Nobody dared to take the old man’s part. But after the meeting several of us other elderly contacted him and some of us even gave him a hug, encourage him to even grow the moustache greater. This was in the midst of the 80,ths. I still feel ashamed, that I didn´t stood up and defended the man that I in fact admired a lot, and oftened, invited to my own congs.s to held speeches.

after almost 24 years in the school and doing it since i was nine years old, i officially resigned.

it has become increasingly difficult to prepare talks, especially with the new format for brothers.

i did not mind doing them; i actually put the time and effort into getting them out.

I remember when i held my last speech in the TMS. It was about 15 years ago. I had already resigned as an elder and the whole congregation looked upon me as a fader. The subject was The end is near and the faithful and discerning slave is now in charge to administer the possessions of god. At the end of the speech I made a comment on the fact that they called them the faithful slave since 1914 and still are doing so. I just said that they must do so otherwise they would not fulfill the scriptures… the bible says that if the slave doesn´t do so, he is not the good and faithful slave..

This made TMS elder immediately excommunicate me from the school that very evening.

21 Years as an Elder, 5 as an MS, I will never be that guy again.

i was deleted as the cobe after i let my adult child move back home and he admitted that he fornicated under my roof while my wife and i where away on a rbc project.

of course the elder mode in me kicked him out of the house.. the elders moved quickly to remove me because i was too involved in "theocractic activities", i had neglected my adult son.. i accepted this primarily because i didn't want to serve with a boe that did not want me.

i was devastated however because it was the only life i knew.

I also spent almost 30 years of my life to serve the borg. Always busy to keep up with the soc.s demands. Become an elder and the father of 6 children. faded slowly 10-12 years ago. Managed to release the time just to check the soc.s "version of the "truth". Never had the time to do that before fading. Now after 3 years of University studies over 60, I have found that the first 30 years of my life was based on a big fat lie. Wish that I hade spend more of my time to secure facts instead of dreams. How is Genesis scientifically incorrect?

i'll add many things in the bible i don't agree with, but the bible is a collection of books.

now to make sure i'm reading as closely to what is written in genesis, i look at this hebrew interlinear, because english translating and rearranging of words can change it.

The expression heaven´s (plural) is an ancient believe from the old Greek. They believed that the visible planets such as Mars, Venus, Saturn a.s.f circled around the Earth in separate heaven´s (some scientists say they had 7 heavens (circles) . they represented different spheres. i have written a blog post about the dubs and their scorn of modern medicine and rasputin, while simultaneously touting unproven, dangerous cures.. i wonder what it is about a fake remedy that makes jws believe in it or scorn it?.

Here in northern Scandinavia, it is absolute forbidden for an MD to describe any sort of a drug homeopathic or whatever that is not scientifically proven by a number of scientific studies. If you as an MD write a description on that, you are in the risk of losing your license. But if you know some MD:s privately they sometimes give you advice to use certain drugs/Theas/herbals or just eat more porridge. But that’s purely private….
