  Usual suits at law for copyright breach etc are based on monetary loss of the Plaintiff - as the WT "gives" its literature (all the "quotes") FREE OF CHARGE how can they claim any loss/damage - the statement of claim is somewhat odd in my eyes although prepared by top specialist lawyers - it covers apparent defamation of the WT brand, attempts to deceive the reader by metatags (neither involving copyright breach) as well as dealing with the element of quoting outside of what the plaintiff considers is fair use - seems that any reasonable trial judge would look at the mish mash of issues and dismiss most out of hand as irrelevant to the central claim

  Not played Golf the next day as reportedly the President did

  Declare Martial Law immediately and take charge of the State and Local Government Agencies - take Federal control of all Oil/Petroleum businesses to prevent price fixing - why immediately raising petrol (gas) prices is OK when its "looting" for a mother with dying children to take water bottles from ruined/empty shops

  Order the National Guard in at once, mobilise the Fleet and move troops from bases in the US to the disaster area.

  Also - stop smirking - why does he do it - is he psychologically flawed?

  Spot on - assemblies are a cash cow for the WT - it has no costs or outlay - programme repeated year on year with minor cut-n-past changes - same cast of creeps and "worthies" assigned parts - same ridiculous rules on dress/food etc

  YET...thousands still flock there - how very sad.

  My thoughts on men who Body Build

  my two son's are body builders and i am wonering if they think they can take on the world .

  last year my son was in a bar fight and got sucker punched in the eye which required 5 stiches ,now my 21 year old comes home with a huge black eye, the biggest i have ever seen trying to break up a fight.. .

  now both these people that got a good shot at my kids where men much smaller in stature and size and seemed to land good punches.

  Any one any views on Steroids taken to bulk muscles - I am concerned over a relative who is taking Steroids and wonder - is it dangerous, is there anything we can do to help - are they addictive - do they cause anger outbursts (read that somewhere) - any ideas most welcome as I can see a relationship of this person and the partner in trouble over this -

  Odd idea WANTING to be an elder - some very sad cases out there - they could make up the Lake Wobegon Body of Elders - I spent years trying to resign / step down but was always persuaded (emotional blackmail) to stay - perhaps we should all contribute to a new book "How to Make it from Elder to Publisher and survive (then fade)"

  very nervous about being here, even though i left years ago.

  i wonder if anyone can give me some advice.

  when i was a jw i was 'counselled' a few times (shortly prior to leaving), though i was never publicly 'reproved' (?

  You would need to write to the cong you were last in requesting any and all information they hold on you - they will charge you a fee (£20 I think - cant remember exactly) and also will charge for copies sent - what u will get will only be Publisher Record Cards but as they are not held for over 7 years u likely will get nothing - on records of any judicial or semi-judicial meetings/counselling - there will be no records - nothing written will be retained and the UK branch will have no record/knowledge of what happened.

  Clearing Junk from the WT Years

  just binned my last papers from the wt years - been in a corner of my study for some years now but time to take another step forward and destry all the evidence of wasted years - lots of old stuff, programmes from assemblies back to the late 50's why did we keep such useless **** anyway ???

  ) , elders meeting notes etc and a copy of the constitution the society forced on uk congs in the late 90s - just reading it shows how in control the centre really is - also binned old wt cds - one set from 1997 never opened - that was the time we "saw the light" and never looked at a wt book/cd again - have you all got rid of the "junk" or did you hold onto it for years / still got it ?
