BTW, this pretty much puts the kibosh on all those nay-sayers predicting the WTBTS is distancing themselves from 1914.
Au contraire, they have clearly embraced it!

"The instructions for the Service Meeting during the week of October 20, 2014, call for a seven-minute demonstration of a publisher explaining our beliefs about 1914."
This is just next week so the link to the vid should already be available. Anyone have it?
On another note: Is it just me, or is anyone else creeped out that there is even an expression "our beliefs about 1914"?
The clear implication is that all JWs everywhere have exactly the same "beliefs" about the significance of this number.
My thought is this: If all JWs everywhere have the exact same, identical "beliefs about 1914," then why do they need to have a demonstration, seven-minutes or otherwise, on how to explain those beliefs? I mean, seriously, you all have the same "beliefs." Shouldn't all 8-ish million of you be able to explain those "beliefs" without a scripted, verbatim pre-recorded and GB approved demonstration from the WTBTS Headquarters?
I'm just sayin' is all.

"When the video is finished, invite the audience to comment on why the demonstration was effective."
What if I thought the demonstration was NOT particularly effective?
so i'm reading a book about a young black man sent to prison for 40 years.
the name of the book is in the place of justice a story of punishment and deliverance.
by wilbert rideau.
scary21: He found purpose and hope in prison and turned his life around. I give this book three stars.
I wonder how many stars the woman he killed would give his book?

Yadda yadda, You completly missed the point of this post, but that's ok. Life as an ex-JW is pretty fucked up.
Take a moment and try and look at things from a more zen perspective. You're not even in the right ballpark.
You're talking apples, I'm talking orangutans.
I left you clue and you missed it. ... breadcrumbs ...

after a one year sucessful fade and no longer associated with any congreation, i was visiting my sister this week (who goes to the meeting to please her husband for now; i am slowly planting seeds though) and they decided to year this weeks midweek meeting via the telephone.
since i was a guest in her house, i sat with them in the living room to hear the meeting.
to my surprise (especially growing up as a gay jw with still alot of anger in my heart over how i was treated), the talks 2 and 3 where on, of course, homosexualiy.
Steve2, good for you mom for loving you in spite of the JW hate speech, it's not so good that she and others lack the courage to completely make a stand and say the WTBTS is WRONG.
And when I say they are wrong, I don't just mean on this issue, I mean on virtually every issue.
Let's review: It's a cult!
