abiather: But their core teaching remains not only UNCHALLENGED and UNCHANGEABLE, but day by day its radiance increases: βTo earthling man his way does not belong.β (Jeremiah 10:23)
Um, that's not "theirs." It's in the Bible. Public domain.
Get the fucking clue and find some blind squirrels to locate some nuts.

THE IMPONDERABLES TOPIC (Enter at your own risk)
by Terry ini suggest taking this slowly .
.. consider the difference between taking a poll about an upcoming election and the actual vote itself on the day of the election.. the information gathered about what the vote will be is provisional.
the vote on the day of the election is actual and official.. it is the one that counts.. now, carefully ask yourself what the specific difference--if any--there is between the poll information and the election result as an identical knowledge of.

Terry: We are seldom rigorous in separating magisteria.
Who are "we"?
You might be guilty of this, I rarely am.
Leave me out of your broad, sweeping generalizations.

Rocks, water, air and light all exist and they are not aware of their own existence.
You're mixing scientific knowledge with "quantum woo" theosophy.
Knowledge ONLY exists in the human mind.

On another note, if something is truly "imponderable" you cannot, by definition, ponder it. You can ever only talk "around it, all the while never ever getting anywhere."
On the other hand, there have been quite a few "ponderous thoughts" exchanged on this thread. Very well, but they are then, again by definition, on subjects which are not "imponderable."
The very thesis of the thread sets you up for at best only two possibilities:
- You will fail at what you set out to do, and
- You can and will only talk about other things
What's the point?

If you are pondering leaving....
by snare&racket inwiser men have lived and died than those ignorant dictators of brooklyn, for those that are pondering the courage required to cease the so called life as subjects to their whim, consider the words of someone far more inspirational than self appointed men hiding from real life dictating to millions how to live.... .
out of the night that covers me, black as the pit from pole to pole, i thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul.. in the fell clutch of circumstance i have not winced nor cried aloud.
under the bludgeonings of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed.. beyond this place of wrath and tears looms but the horror of the shade, and yet the menace of the years finds and shall find me unafraid.. it matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll, i am the master of my fate, i am the captain of my soul.. .

The poem is by William Ernest Henley (1849β1903).
Although it is commonly known as Invictus, this is not a title he gave it, but was added by a later editor when included in a compliation of English verse.

Science (which is knowledge) measures before it does anything else.
I disagree. Science is initially a way of knowing that begins with observing.

You cannot use the mind to define itself!
Why not? All knowledge is constructed by our mind.
