well i believe people don't want to believe in god because they are scared.

they know that if they finally do gorge the confidence to believe in him, he might discipline them for their skepticism.

however eventually the husband prays to jehovah that if jehovah will help him find a leak in a construction he is working on, he will go to a meeting and presto, the next day jehovah help him find the leak so now he is a witness..

So let me get this straight, God can help UNBELIEVERS find a leak at a WORLDLY construction site, but he can't help HIS OWN GOVERNING BODY MEMBERS find the many, many leaks in HIS ORGANIZATION!

wife and i have not reported a single hour of fs in 3-4 months.

while my wife is mostly doing for me (positive thing), i know she would have rather done it.

elder asked me to turn in my fs report this past week and then he added... "we need to talk".

Elder, ignoring the obvious barb, "Do you still believe that this is Jehovah's Organization?"

You, "Why would you ask me that? Do YOU have doubts? It sounds like you're projecting your doubts on me. Have you told your fellow elders about this?"

Elder, "No, I don't have any doubts."

You, "Really? None at all?"

Elder, smugly, "That's right, none at all!"

You, "Really? Then I question your intelligence or your honesty."

Elder, indignant, "That's rude of you to say!"

You, "You think so? You come over here. You haven't made any attempts to contact me in _______ months/years, but within two minutes you're questioning my loyalty and my integrity. You're the rude one here!"

Elder, heated, "You can't talk to me that way!"

You, "Sure I can. I learned it from you."

Elder, "I'm leaving."

You, "Great idea. Come back when you've worked on your social skills a bit. "

We have ALL denied that and yet you insist to know our motivations better than we do even though you don't know a single one of us personally.

No, I don't.

But I do know that many, maybe even most, deaf people can read.

How would you put ASL in written form in a book? Can you please explain?

Yeah, this makes me think this is a hoax.

Deaf people can read. How would the elders' book be made into sign languages anyway? A series of videos? That just silly.
