Hoser, you are obviously under the impression that you need to obey the elders and the WTBTS. You don't.
The only have authority over you if you give it to them.
i need to change congregation but stay living in the same place.
any experience with this.

so last night they played the convention cartoon.
there were a few laughs from the audience, overall though people seemed a little taken aback and tight lipped.
like no one gushed about it afterwards, no applause, just like it was nothing new at all.
I just talked to a local JW and they said it wasn't shown in their hall.
Is this only being shown just before a DC?
i am new to this forum - it is only a couple of weeks since i have allowed myself to acknowledge and research my doubts.
i am trying to be fair by reading both sides of the story and considering jw official explanation of confusing matters.
one of the issues i have been looking at is shunning - and i was shocked to see the misleading information about shunning on the jw.org website: .
Vidiot: ... if you have to cheat to defend your beliefs, your beliefs don't deserve to be defended. I actually want to get this tattooed somewhere.
How about on the forehead of each member of the GB!
arg... okay, i've been trying to do this on my phone and it's been giving me fits.
here is what i had attempted to post.. i'm at work, night shift, and nothing is going on.
i thought a comic strip would be an amusing way of telling my story to people outside of this community.. it's a rough draft, i'm open to feedback.
Don't put the dialogue bubbles over the characters. It makes them hard to read. Notice how they are placed in published comics.
That being said, if you're trying to do satire on JWs, your dialogue isn't very realistic. A JW mom wouldn't tell her daughter to "flirt" or "snuggle" with anyone, even another JW.
ok, so....does everyone who has ever been born, and lived on this planet called earth....get ressurected?.
doesnt that sound like pissin in the wind?.
destroy everyone......just to bring em back......to destroy them again....... seems like a neverending cycle..
No.
You have this one life. This is it. Don't waste it on foolish things like joining a cult.
judicial committee invitation comes, with be there or be square consequences.. ( come or we will df you ).
what are the sure fire, tested and true tactics that will keep the elders off your back?
( for good ).
Kairos,
Sorry you're going through this.
Nothing quite demonstrates their complete lack of love as much as a letter like that.
It only further proves what I always say: It's a cult!
hey guys!
some of you might know about my latest clash with the elders.
i see the pressure this cult is putting on my family.
CM, we hate it too, but it is a waste of precious time and energy to try and destroy them.
Living well is the best revenge.
Try and help the people you love, but know you can't change another person. It's hard enough to change ourselves!
i realize that many here still have a form of spirituality or faith, and i mean no disrespect to those individuals.
i suppose i am posting this question to those, like myself, who have come to the conclusion that religion in general is a major hindrance to the progress of our species and needs to be put aside so that we can advance to our full potential.
so my question is, do you think this will ever actually happen, and how do you think we can get there?

Personally, I like RSA style animation as a way of teaching.
There are some pretty amazing educational videos that use this technique (see below).
My gripe is not about the form or the format of the message, it's with the content and the manner of the message.
The WTBTS leadership treats its members like children that need to be told how to behave in public.
Let's review: It's a cult!
