Possibly a great question to ask JW's since this last week's WT.
by Crazyguy inso since the type anti-type doctrine has been dropped 'does this mean peter was right when at luke 12 :41 he said the faithful and discreet slave was just a parable?

This could go a couple of ways:
- A. YES, Peter was right = No FDS
- B. NO, Peter was NOT right = No religion at all
- C. I Don't Know if Peter was Right or Wrong = Cult Member that can't think for themselves
-
I'm guessing you'll get choice "C" 99.9% of the times with most JWs.
Let's review: It's a cult!
- A. YES, Peter was right = No FDS

Specific Comments By R&F About May Broadcast
by freemindfade ini know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!
but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.
i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).

DF: when under stress one tends to revert back to the personality before being indoctrinated into the cult.
What is your basis for saying this?
I do not believe this is true. Do you have any research based evidence to back this up? I'd be really interested in reading that. Thanks,

dear brothers:.
many will find that the newly composed orchestral recordings are more inspiring andconducive to our worship than is piano music alone.

Cappytan: I love how apostates are more informed than the rank/file.

It's a legal issue. The WTS doesn't want to get charged for preaching in countries where it is banned.
How could they be "charged" for anything individuals do on the internet?
Can you explain how that make work? How could that cause them any problems?

by cappytan inkey quote:.
many believe that life came about by evolution.... ummmm, no...that's abiogenesis, not evolution.
no evolutionist says that "life came about by evolution.

Nice catch Cappytan!
Whaddya' expect from when a bunch of uneducated yahoos try to "school" the world on things they neither know about nor understand?
We gotta' call them out on stuff like this every time because it really proves they are not representing God.

Newton versus Watchtower quackery
by opusdei1972 inthe following is a watchtower's criticism against newton:.
down through the ages, talented scientists have indeed made surprising breakthroughs in their search for answers to puzzling questions about nature.
some, however, have also made serious errors in the process.

Newton was leaving the cave of ignorance. He actually discovered some real "new light."
WT leaders fear the light and prefer to remain in the mental darkness of their deep, profound ignorance.

Interesting Pew Stats on JWs--Alarming Trends for the Borg
by Cadellin insomeone may have linked to this already, but the this interactive page in the pew religion study is pretty interesting, especially when you look at the trends for jw between 2007 and 2014. here's what it shows:.
jws are increasingly non-white.
in fact, the percentage of white jws has decreased from 2007 to 2014 by 12%, while hispanic jws have increased by 8%.
