  i don't want to turn in my token time anymore.

  My wife and I keep up our B.S. @ 2 hrs a month so our pinhead elder can B.S. the pinhead circuit overseer so the pinhead can B.S. the Society or Governing Body or the whatever they are calling themselves now. It seems to work pretty good. As long as the numbers are there they don't care. LOL

  Bible's mention of physical beauty- why?

  for years, as i've read through the bible, i've wondered why bible writers were concerned about physical beauty (see references below)?

  i realize it's human nature to be interested in beauty, but why did they see fit to record in the so-called "word of god" the fact that some of the people they wrote about were beautiful?

  looks are not supposed to matter according to jw doctrine (and probably the doctrine of many christian-professing sects).

  Stopped going to meetings in 1976. Got educated, raised 4 children, retired at 50, got babtized in 2012 to save my mother from giving all her money to these idiots, as soon as estate was secure my wife and have not been to a meeting in almost 2 yrs now. I am truely amazed at the things this cult is getting away with.

  A few International Conv instructions (more ways to control)

  a few official instructions jw delegates are being told leading up to the international conventions.

  congregation secretaries are holding conference calls and then relating the instructions to the congregation.. atlanta - do not drive to convention, parking will not be available.

  take public transportation; attendants will be on all public transit and able to assist.. dallas - attendants will be on site at all hotels to make sure delegates leave the hotel at their assigned times and take their assigned route.

  alot of members don't have a flag or country name beside their user name, and well frequently one doesn't know where that particular person is from, tell us your country, state, county or what ever you feel like giving out.

  if you are going to post please at least devulge your country.. me, i'm originally from taranaki, new zealand via auckland.

  for the most of this decade i have been living & working in brisbane, queensland, australia.. .

  That sounds fantastic. We are waiting to Splash the boat into Lake Michigan then begin the journey down the Tom-Tom to Mobile Bay. Stay late summer in Destin,FL then run Gulf to St Pete then winter in Keys. See you in Nov-Dec.

  h'mmm, it is almost 11:00 am on a wednesday.

  i wonder if it is a jw.. to the best of my knowledge the following happened, but i did get a little excited during our intial conversation and what transpired later so i may not be recounting the facts correctly.. i went downstairs with my trusty sharpie in my pocket to answer the door.

  at the door there was an older (~75 year-old) man in a suit and appeared to be in good health.

  When you ask can I give you something in return and they say NO. Stop, look very sad at them and say, my spouse has passed and I recieved quite a sum of money and I was going to write you a check. Shut the door and smile you just mind-f#cked them.
