do you think that the pedophile problem in the watchtower organization is just as important as in the catholic church?
if we knew the statistics, and found out that there were a lot fewer pedophiles in the watchtower org.
than in other religions, would this be a victory on their part?
i have to agree with taichi that the society for years has condemned the catholics for sexual abuse when they themselves have done worse by not only covering it up but punishing people who want justice and wish to go to the appropriate authorities.
i personally feel that child sexual abuse is the worst crime imaginable and the ultimate act of wickedness.
but to impose upon a person double punishment by not permitting them to gain justice, is a dispicable crime also.
and the god of this universe is a god of justice, he wants such crimes to be exposed and appropriate measures to be taken for those who perform them. it says so in his word the bible.
not only that back in the time of moses you were immediately stoned for such a crime, and if the creator thought so little of such crimes there is no way he would have imposed that sentance for such offenders.
but for his so called representatives on earth to cover up such dispicable sins, is incredible, the absolute gaul, in fact it is like an act of defiance to god who sees all no matter where we are or what we do.
i beleive in what goes around comes around and I beleive the snowball is rolling faster down the hill, and this organisation is in for a huge split once people who have any brain left after being brain washed wake up and realise what is going on.
who knows what the future holds, but something has to give soon it always does....

i don't miss being spoken to like i was someones best friend when i know they wouldn't pee on me if i was on fire.. i don't miss always standing on my own and having no one come and talk to me.. i don't miss having people talk around me about the great time they had at the latest sport/barbecue/dinner get-together which i wasn't invited to because i'm not spiritual enough.. i don't miss not having friends in the truth or out of the truth because i shouldn't mix with wordly people.. i don't miss being so bored for all those hours a week.. i don't miss all the false smiles people give me when i look at them at the hall and the way they look away when i walk past them at the shopping center.. .................. anyone got anymore?
oh man I relate to all of this, but to kwijibo , yes definately almost as if i had written it myself,
makes u feel sad doesnt it, I relate to all of you and agree 3000 percent,
its such a relief not to have to put up with any of that anymore.

i was miserable for years, I couldnt date as there was no one to date, no available brothers for miles
and there was one i liked and i played that scenario so close to societies rules it wasnt even funny
and yet poor me was used and played with like a dead mouse by a cat, and no one said a thing, he was reported to the elders and got away with it. blamed me made up lies that i was chasing him.
creep, oh well. a hard lesson learned but then again i was just a person doing what i thought was right trying to serve our creator.
gonna take me 13 years to get over it all now.

i use to get the biggest chuckle when the elders insisted that when going out on a date that someone older and mature had to go with you to make sure you don't fornicate.

i have a friend (did the fade) that was stuck with her brother being the chaperone a couple of times when she was dating her then boyfriend.
ohh this brings to mind my courtship with my now husband, I went to usa and we had a chaperone a deaf sister, my husband is also deaf, and we went to LA for a convention, well our chaperone was a demanding little cow, and decided she was too tired to take my fiance to his motel, we were travelling in her van, well she went and sat in the spa and refused so I had to take him in a taxi.(even though she had demanded so much for gas money to take us where we needed to go) grrrrr
alone mind you without her chaperoning, well the next day we were in the hotel room and she decided she was going somewhere and left us alone in the room, well the stupid cow that was staying with us 3 in the room also came back and me and my fiance were there, well that led to a 3 hour lecture on chaperoning and not being left alone like it was our fault.
I was sooooooooooooooo pissed off with her, jumped up little know it all, she was in her early 20's and i am 40 so you can imagine that i wanted to strangle her several times.
so much for a chaperone ours couldnt be bothered, we never did anything wrong, so it didnt matter but, this chaperoning thing for older ppl in public is ridiculous to say the least, thank god im out of this so i dont have to put up with that crap again!!!!!!!

i began studying january 2001. i had met a jw man that i truly fell in love with and found that i would at least look into the religion to see if it was for me.
i began studying with his sister, till she consciously no longer felt that she could continue studying with me, due to the fact that she did not approve of her brother dating me, since i was not a jw.
aww jacquiline I just want to give you a hugggg, i know exactly what you are talking about beleive me I was a witness for 13 years and i didnt have a boyfriend who was a witness but i was treated just like you, and even after i was baptised, and this is not how jesus or jehovah are, anyone with half a brain can see that u only have to read your bible and learn of jesus personality my friend.....
take heart that you are not alone, and the creator knows your heart, you hang in there we are all in the same boat my friend...

being reasanable to assume that,they are promoting fear within the congregations,keeping others from asking awkward questions,it seems that no one is interested in the reasons why that other person was named and shamed,what a way to control people , one minute they are your best friends the next minute you bump into them say in the high street and you dont seem to exist within there boundarys or vision ,.
my remedy .if you are in this position is to greet them very loudly laughingly saying hallo there ,big wave big smile,be carfull of those paedophiles your mixing with.
