Although I don't have a dog in the race, and I think that, personally, the more groups the merrier, and to quote Rodney king "why can't we all just get along"...why does one anti watchtower group diminish another or vice versa? Two candles are brighter than one. And perhaps you were overlooked, as I am sure many revolutionaries were during the war. As I am sure it didn't go without notice that the so called leaders during the revolution, as I am sure you are aware, whittled there time away in monarchist France while the patriots were on the frontlines. But both groups were responsible for bringing about the needed changes we benefit from today. And when really was there any real change anywhere without a strong charismatic leader(s) willing to stick his or her neck out for the "cause".
Organization by itself is not necessarily wrong or bad. For an organization to really work you need workers and leaders willing to work. Looking at cedars website and his accomplished missions of surveys does it not show that for him at least there has been proven results? Although I'm not familiar with others except grundys and Anderson's work, again proven results Why not wait and see what the results will be. Like Dylan said

I couldn't for the life of figure out the excitement aroused by the DCs?! Probably cognitive dissonance kicking in to make the elduhs and dubs feel better about sitting in an echo chamber on hard plastic seats bored out of their gourd. Then again it's like what Steve Hassan says just a yearly reindoctrination! I would sum up all DCs I attended at the Syracuse war memorial, blue cross Rochester and lastly the concrete tomb of Wachovia arena in wilkesbarre as painful memories. Although eating out at fine Thai restaurants with good friends, of which i still have today, made me happy!
From reading hassans book I think that the repetition and ritual at the DCs promoted a hypnotic trance like state to effectively stop thinking and thus be programmed to feel spiritually superior and enlightened. I felt bad for families with small children, what a struggle they had.

for a religion that claims to be "fearless and bold" the watchtower has avoided writing about islam and muslim practices and how they are part of babylon the great.
the attacks on christendom are not a bold move because the "tower" and "gb" know the christian church is not going to send a suicide bomber into a kingdom or district convention.

she said something that sparked my attention.
i read almost the whole bible cover to cover when i was a jehovahs witless.. she stated that satan was in charge of the garden of eve as an assignment from god to watch over adam & eve but he became too full of himself.. how in the world do the jws explain this teaching of satan being in charge over the garden?
Isn't it amazing though, that while we we in the watchtower we accepted this mythology as fact. It was written about and lectured all the time as if the myths of the ancient Hebrew tribe which resemble the Babylonian myths were historical fact. I'm reading Hassan's book about combatting cult influence and the striking similarities between what he experienced and what JWs experience is incredible. The sincerity of someone's faith does not make the extraordinary true, no matter how convincing. But the connection between genesis, Ezekiel and revelation with the serpent, lucifer and the devil resides in the realm of the "true believers" only and has no place in reality of the modern world in which we live, love and flourish.
When I read the title of this thread immediately pink Floyd animals came to mind. The wall is great a little depressing as is all pink floyd (roger wAters)to some degree and I agree it can resonate for an ex JW or fader. I remember out in service a young pioneer sister asked if she could borrow my copy, I gave it to her.
