so if one who was a christian chose to join those who are disapproved of god, it would be fitting for the congregation to acknowledge by a brief announcement that he had disassociated himself and is no longer one of jehovahs witnesses.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
In my area when the un involvement was brought up by some disenchanted faders vocally, a gasp went around the 5 congos...apostasy! No not the joining by the WTBT$ of the UN but the mere mention of it in earshot of the truly faithful! So to mention an apostate action by the GB, as defined by their own litter-rapeture is apostate...like a double whammy apostasy....

i am 3rd gen born in but have been inactive for a few years but always had the intention to make another go of the truth, but not now that i know ttatt.
i became inactive due to the inhumane treatment from family members who are elders.

Unless it goes to jury this case has no legs. And a jury is a crap shoot. The First suspicion should have brought members of family down to visit the dad and then take over all financial matters. The fact that this didn't happen is the big gaping hole of this story. Whereas I feel bad for the family and I dont put it past the pioneers and elduhs that they can act unscrupulously...the fact that I see they left their father out to dry and now they are regretting that move.
Their anger while justified would have been diminished if they had taken a more active role in the care of their dad.
So basically i believe there is more to this story then meets the eye.
Time will tell what if anything the courts will do. I hope that RF will try to keep us posted on the outcome of the legal action which knowing how much this costs me thinks it won't happen.

they 'shepherd the flock' - does that make them more accountable than anyone else for the deception and lies and trickery and deceit.. are they all non-believers who are along for the ride ?.
are they cowardly for taking a stand ?.
Accountable? Those elduhs who have left might feel accountable for their actions they took while under mind control from the publishing cult. But for Those still in they are doing gods work, as long as they are following the rules of the GB.
The Milgram(-sp) experiment tried to explain why good people can do harmful things following orders. From what I remember it was because the one following orders believes he is an instrument, a tool so to speak, and thus not accountable for the results from following orders.
As an elduh I was told as long as we followed the guidelines set forth in writing the org would have our back if a lawsuit came our way after a JC and the like. If we overstepped a rule and it was shown then we were on our own.
One last point there's a world of difference between a sincere elduh and a company man. But the cautions they routinely get from letters and the CO can get the sincere ones to stop trusting their heart and to become less humane(following dogma).

so ~2 years ago i left the jw cult, i had an exit talk with the elders with the reasons why and they couldn't find a reason to df me.
been happy ever since even though i went through a difficult custody and now divorce proceedings.
now all of a sudden they want to df me.
Isn't there a point in the elder book where a person who no longer Is seen as a JW by the general community and who has long since associated with the Congo it is not necessary to go after them with a JC (witchhunt) if wrong doing by that person has been heard? So the question why now after all that time elapsed?

hi, my time is drawing ever closer as i can no longer speak lies about the organization and all the past revisions and my sins i committed against everyone i judged while serving on judicial committees.
i lay awake at night with guilt because i ask jehovah and his son jesus christ to forgive me for being so judgemental, self assured and arrogant at certain times in my life.
i was not a prince of peace, at times i was a coward when i was first appointed because i wanted to keep all things peaceful with my peers, not with my heavenly father and saviour jesus christ.

Derious of change hit a good point. While the less you say to these false comforters, of which they have made it clear, the better. Throw it back at them that their comments about your dying at "the big a" has made you depressed and you no longer feel like talking. In essence they have stumbled you. They are out for a hanging. You will not get them to budge from their judgement of you. They are acting out the big lie...they would say "we are so spiritual..." but then they act in an unscriptural and mean spirited manner. This is the type of BS that these company men pull without any repercussions. It's injustice and the only solution is to remove yourself from it. However asking to see in the bible what they are stating is a good response. The whole idea of not going beyond what is written appears to be lost amongst the gb Gestapo.
Im am sorry you are going through this but in the end it will be better for you. Freedom and liberty to choose what you want to do, who you want to worship and how and not be controlled by this cult has lifted people like us into a better life with Better friends.

your committee experiences sound so strange. But then again all is strange in the borg. Just to get this straight you went and admitted to the "sins" that the JC was called in for and then your peppered with loyalty questions? Is this a new policy? Never were we instructed to ascertain loyalty issues. I don't think the PATTF book puts loyalty to the Borg above all other "sins" or does it. It's been so long. I guess I want to know is this a new policy. Maybe the committee chairman will chime in? Or anyone else. It seems like a JC for adultery would be a quick one if everyone's up front that is. Sounds like disloyalty is a trump card. Or is it just these particular JCs? Anyone know?

were not the first simple robots programed with binary language. Up down, left right, light on and off type of programming. But those which are more complex are described as having artificial itelligence? Those with hands that know the difference between and egg and a beer stein?
When does hot begin and cold end? A robot with AI could distinguish subtlies of temperature, but its only humans that can distinguish the subtleties of other things too complex to program as of yet.
Could The simplistic good/bad and day/night binary opposition supporter entertain a 3rd possibility of say a spectrum, like a rainbow. And while we are discussing the good/bad simplification, Then who is the judge of good and bad? The god flavor of the day or culture? I do not know the god of your choosing,but the god of the bible had its cultural apex thousands of years ago, where half the world were slaves and where a guy was stoned for picking up sticks and men and woman were killed for adultery and reading omens. It was a time Where a man who cut off 200 foreskins of the inhabitants of his land, to buy his wife(thanks honey, i just knew you loved me) was deemed a good king. Today he would be tried and convicted in a court of human rights! As I can only assume you are a thoughtful person, this would not be era in which you would pick your god of choice.
Also perhaps the word translated as evil, which has taken a life of its own, mean something else without the imbued morality, Like destruction? Life is not a Hollywood movie where the villain is all bad and and the good guy is is just that. For example the Indian culture that worshipped rivers saw the destruction of a flood as part of the creation of life. It was from that sediment deposited by destructive flooding that their grain could be grown and thus life sustained, thus sacred to life?
When fundamentalism based on a choice of god takes root and holds all responsible to the tenets of that particular god, a morality police begins.

Remember Iran is a theocratic state and it takes the same good/bad approach very seriously, ie beheadings. Just a foregleam for any future theocracy which holds morality in binary suspension.
