Brain Washing
by JH inhave we been brain washed, when we studied with the jehovah witnesses?
call it brainwash or mind control, have we been exposed to this kind of treatment?
so many meetings a week, and so much reading to do, having no time to think for ourselves, and not realize what we were actually doing.

Could the Watchtower be using this technique on us, and we were unaware?

WTS and donations
by freedom96 inmany christian type religions, organized or not, believe in giving 10% like was done in the old days in the bible.
you even have the mormons, who must give 10%.. as money hungry as the wts is, why have they not gone for that as well?
they can always justify anything for any reason.

Why do they put so much emphasis on giving to the Watchtower, instead of putting emphasis on giving to the poor in the congregation that need money to survive, and have a decent life. Never did I hear them say, look around in the congregation, and try to help brothers and sisters who don't work, and have a hard time financially.

No, they didn't go for that. You know why? Because they have so much more from you. As a Watchtower representative, you give your car, you buy cloths, suits, books, go to their conventions, put money in their contribution boxes, build their halls, take your gas, and so much more. When you add all of that up, you give about 20% of what you have. If only we gave 10%, we would be on the winning side.

Embarrassment
by JH inat first, when you starting studying with the witnesses, were you ashamed of being part of that religion?
were you afraid that your neighbors would see you leave all dressed up with a suitcase?
how about at work, did you reveal to your colleagues that your were a witness?.

Spirituality ??
by Blueblades inwhy do the elders always equate meeting attendance and field service with the level of ones spirituality?i keep hearing them repeating,"we hate to see you lose your spirituality",by not attending the meetings and going out into the field service.the 1973 comprehensive concordance points to jude 19 as the only reference to the word spirituality.however in the 1985 ed.of the kingdom interlinear of the greek scriptures the actual word at jude19 is spirit not spirituality.jude19 remarks that one can lose god's spirit if one became " ungodly".the society deliberately transposes the word spirit to spirituality from the greek into the english new world translation.the reason i bring this subject up is because that's all i ever hear when you miss meetings and field service.not once has an elder used the scriptures to support that viewpoint or interpertation with me.since circumstances differ with all of us, how in the world can they make a such a blanket statement and a wrong one at that!?
your thoughts please,blueblades.

The elders have always compared your attendance to the meetings with your spirituality. For some reason, they want you to attend all of the meetings, and go regularly in the service. They are obsessed with taking all of your time away from you, so that you don't open your eyes to the world. They have a tight grip on everyone, even inflicting fear so that even if you're sick, you must go to the hall. I guess they have a report to give to their supperiors. No other religion will say that your not spiritual if you miss meetings. The bottom line is CONTROL.

Guess what you'll be doing during the Millennium?
by refiners fire inthe watchtower of march 15th, 1965. .
"earthly opportunities opened by the resurrection" .
..."there will be the "resurrection of the righteous ones," and doubtless such righteous ones will be given earlier consideration, especially those belonging to the pre-christian "cloud of witnesses" from john the baptist all the way back to righteous abel.
