what is the wt policy on shirts for the brothers?
are they supposed to be only white shirts?
my son, no a sort of waning mormon said that he thought it was funny that the witnesses here copy the mormons (white shirts only).
When I joined many years ago, It was all white shirts. Then the younger brothers had colored shirts. The old brothers still had white shirts. I guess it goes with the age. Even the ties changed alot since 15 years. Are they colorful now!!!

in my congregation there was much more woman than men.

there have been a whole bunch of probing questions in new threads lately.
people are encouraged to spill their guts out on the most sensitive of topics including jeopardizing their identities with questions about what they like on their pizzas.
just call me old fashioned, but some of these polls look like information-gathering the wts would love to mine.
I hope that people will continue to post at the same pace, and not be afraid to express themselves. Should there be a security measure before signing in, to make sure that whoever is here has the ok to be here?

i wonder if the elders did on purpose to distribute territories so that you would have to be working in your neighbourhood.. often i noticed that elders gave me a territory in my neighbourhood, just to see if i would be ill at ease.
maybe they wanted to know if i had worldly friends in my neighbourhood.

Why can't they smile and be relaxed? I rather go to the dentist than be stuck with an elder. I knew a brother that was very pleasant, but when he became an elder, he wasn't the same guy. He lost his sense of humour, and took his job too seriously. Did you enjoy being around elders?

a lot has been discussed here of late about the disfellowshiping of inactive ones.. in my old hall i know a sister that started smoking again and when found out she insisted that her reproof must be private and not public otherwise she would never return to the hall.
she pulled it off.. i know a brother that became inactive and started smoking.
the elders appeared to leave him alone, but one day they pounced and he is now disfellowshipped.. i know a ministerial servant that caused a great deal of upset in the congregation because of his lies and decietfulness, (causing divisions).
If inactive people go back, then even more information will be available on the net! They are playing a risky game here.

When we look at biblical history, How many were saved from the flood? 8 people only out of how many millions. So about .001% of the society was saved
Then how many were saved at sodom and gomorrah? No one. So 0% were saved.
Adam and Eve sinned, and both died. So 0% were saved
So if everything keeps on the same way,When Armageddon will hit then once again maybe .1%will be saved. That seems to match past survival probabilities. Doesn't look too good.
Does this mean that the watchtower is right? No, they might also be destroyed.
