On the other hand, can't he come over and have a friendly chat? I would rather see an elder come over to my place dressed in jeans, than in a military suit.

Can the US police the whole world?
by JH ineven if the united states is the only superpower, can it really make war with iraq, and tackle north korea, and keep an eye on china, and other countries at the same time?
why does the us always have to take care of troubled spots all over the world by itself?
why can't japan and south korea take care of the north korean crisis?

Do you think that the war in Iraq will be delayed because of the fear of North Korea?

by JH indo you think that joining a religion should come after you had an education, and found a decent job?
how many young witnesses were told not to go to college, and were forced to accept cheap jobs?

The Pain of my Daughter

of course, once he read the letter he told her he has just choosen jehovah.

Of course they say that there are no divorces in the Jehovah Witnesses, but that doesn't seem true. The only reasons that you can re marry in the "truth" is either your spouce dies, or if he/she commits fornication, and you don't forgive your spouce. Did you ever notice how some got divorced and re married again, and both stead in the truth? How many ways do you know of, that a Jehovah Witness can divorce, remarry and stay in the truth?

some of us were born into it, and others have perhaps come from other religions, while still others may never had any religious faith at all.
some here on the board now claim that there is no god at all.
