During the entire Australian Commision when each and every single elder was cross examined.. this is what we heard from all of them.

'I don't remember..'

'I'm unsure..'

'I don't know..'

'It was a long time ago..'

'We kept no notes..'

'All notes were destroyed..'

'I have no recollection of that..'

'I really just don't know..'

'I can't confirm that..'

etc etc..

This single fact is inclusive proof that the God of the Bible.. or his Son Jesus can not in anyway be supporting these people either as individuals or as an organisation and left them all with almost completely blank memories.

It's even more shocking that the girls and females that were abused the same 20+ years ago.. were all able to remember and recall every single detail during their interviews and statements.. and they took no notes at all.

This just demonstrates nothing but total careless negligence. And yet they claim Jesus hand selected them to care for his flock???

Is the two-witness rule really unreasonable?

i'm picturing a situation in which a savvy 12 year old doesn't like the house rules that mom's new husband has put into place.

or something along that line.

i can certainly agree that protection of children is paramount, but who protects the real victim in those cases?

There needs to be another witness to the crime or a second victim in order for them to remove the person from the congregation and warn other parents.

Er.. they actually don't ever warn other parents even if the molester confesses or is found completely guilty.

i've thought and said too much to ever gain jehovahs forgiveness and love if i want to be a christian again.

i made a topic on my unforgivable sin and blaspemy of the holy spirit.. i feel saddness everyday having no relationship with god, no religion and fear of the afterlife.

even when i was kid i feared death and the end of the world.

Hey I would not beat yourself over it so much. You're only human and according to the Bible that does not really count for much.

I studied for years every single day.. special pioneered doing sometimes up to 270 hours a month, attended and participated in every single meeting without fail and read and studied every single piece of literature the society ever printed almost all the while remaining in good standing etc etc..

Yet I did it all without ever managing to acquire any kind of real relationship with either God or Jesus.

I can never recall really ever had a prayer answered, never was aware of ever having received help from any kind of spirit being for my acute depression, isolation and paralysing feeling of being utterly disconnected and agonisingly and desolately lonely while the entire time slogging myself to utter exhaustion trying to please God yet feeling nothing but complete worthlessness and inadequacy almost all my years in the organisation.

It was not until some years after leaving that I realised how actually could I ever commit an unforgivable sin against a being I have never actually even known?

Seriously offending God or Jesus can actually only really occur if you have met, known communed with or experienced both or either.

Only people like Adam, Abraham, Moses, the Apostles, Peter, Paul etc, etc can commit a mortal or unforgivable sin.. because they apparently have heard, seen, met, experienced, were spoken to, touched or were directly touched by God or Jesus..

I'm guessing that you too have not been.

Stop hating yourself in your own mind for crimes you are simply unable to commit.

Why are none of the 'Governing Body' being summoned to any of the abuse commissions?

i'm not sure if this has been covered but i'm wondering why none of the gb are being requested at or formally summoned to any of the australian abuse commissions or other investigations that are taking place around the world?

they after all are the ones single handedly responsible for making and enforcing all the rules that are the sole cause of all these abuses and problems.. why are they just keeping their silent distance and leaving all the ill-equipped and sadly incompetent local elders exposed to take the full public blast, criticism and humiliation for all that is now being brought out in these investigations?

how are they seemingly able to sit cosy in their ivory tower immune and unaccountable?.

Need best info on why Jesus could never have chosen org in 1918?

hi folks... i was playing a tiny online ipad multiplayer war game last night and one started a dialogue with a another player i was attacking.

in it he quoted a scripture.. and it turns out he he is a 25 year serving jw.

possibly an elder... well.. i spent 6 hours tapping away with one finger in the chat box until 8am this morning with him about all the issues on sex abuse, the money grab and most importantly the subject of jesus turning his attention to the earth and selecting the then bibles students as his one and only people based on what they were teaching (spiritual food) back then.. he knows nothing about any of the current and historic child sex abuse cases (never heard of candice conti etc) and even less about the insane early teachings or russell etc.. i completely blew his mind in our 6 hour text chat not to mention my index finger nearly falling off!.

Thank you all very much for all the great responses, info, links and suggestions! I will go through each and gather the data I need for this fellow.

It's true though that I'm not out to convert or de-convert anyone including him but but I'm more then happy to simply drop these facts into his brain and let him do what he wills with it.

It's also very therapeutic for me too to be able to disarm and hamstring these false ideas that we were all fed on a ladle.
