Which is worse - a JW wedding or a JW funeral?
by jgnat inbesides the regular stress that all brides go through, a jw couple must worry about being caught in inappropriate behavior through the engagement period, thereby nixing a kh wedding.
and then there is the stress of the invitation list.
who must be shunned, is so-and-so of an approved state to attend, etc, etc, etc.. then there is the jw funeral, or jw participants in a regular funeral.

Good one Pope! Reminds of a story I heard the other night.
The Jews don't recognize Jesus as the Messiah. The Baptists don't recognize the Pope as God's representative on earth. And JW's don't recognize each other in the liquor store.

Questions from Readers
?
Must fish be bled before they are eaten??U.S.A.The Bible does not specifically mention the bleeding of fish. Only in the case of land animals or fowl do we read: "As for any man . . . who in hunting catches a wild beast or a fowl that may be eaten, he must in that case pour its blood out and cover it with dust."?Lev. 17:13.
Fish that were suitable for food according to the terms of the Mosaic law did not contain a quantity of blood sufficient to be poured out and covered with dust. Evidently for this reason the Law set forth no precise statement about bleeding fish.
There being no Scriptural stipulation to squeeze or soak meat to remove blood, no one is under obligation to take extreme measures to extract blood from fish. Of course, the blood of every sort of creature represents its life and is therefore sacred. So, if, on cutting a fish open, a person sees an accumulation of blood, he should remove it.

Are You Able To Critically Express Yourself Here?
by minimus ini think some might get the impression that it's not right to express anything critical of this board.
some may feel that if a poster wants to express an opinion that is not in syc with the majority, they should not speak of it.if someone feels they have a valid criticism, i do think it is "healthy" to be able to express that opinion.
i am not referring to persons that seem to always complain about everything but i'm thinking of our not stifling a person.

I think it's absolutely critical that we express ourselves.
