Are You Able To Critically Express Yourself Here?

I think some might get the impression that it's not right to express anything critical of this board. Some may feel that if a poster wants to express an opinion that is not in syc with the majority, they should not speak of it.If someone feels they have a valid criticism, I do think it is "healthy" to be able to express that opinion. I am not referring to persons that seem to always complain about everything but I'm thinking of our not stifling a person. Posters should feel that they can openly express their views and differences without being "watched" or banished for "conduct unbecoming" a poster.I hope we don't develop the mentality that if we are not fully being supported then---they are against us...... I believe that we are "Simon's guests" and we should respect that but still not feel that we would be ostracized for disagreeing with the board. We can disagree without being disagreeable.

We can disagree without being disagreeable.

I agree minimus -- but it is not always easy when the topic is political - I think I am in the minority on certain issues with support from people like Stacy Smith and Yeru -- and I have strong opinions and do not mind disagreeing with the majority on things I feel passionate about -- but I believe if necessary most on this board can Critically Express themselves here when necessary.

It is healthy to agree to disagree about what you may think, but I also still think,it is all about respecting one another....If it is going to hurt someone or body, then IMO it should be kept to yourself....Just my 2 cents..

I disagree often. I question alot. No probs for me...

I don't see a problem with disagreement at all. The only problem is when someone feels minoritized (is that a word)? and feels minimized by the opposing position.

In such cases (I am in often) I say, if you are strong enough to voice an opinion, you are strong enough to back said opinion up without crying foul, or claiming everyone is picking on you....

Difference of opinion is what makes the world relevant...(damn that sounds quotable)!

I am able to express myself fully here. Frankly, I am much more afraid of "mob attack" from the board by expressing a minority opinion (on, say, politics or Christianity) than I am from the moderators. What is the worst a moderator can do to my opinion - edit it, delete it, restrict my postings? Aaah, I can live with that. A vicious attack from a poster I like, however, would take a lot longer to get over.
