I think my biggest problem with Morris is his arrogance. He is just a holier-than-though, self-righteous, pompous ass.

In your opinion: What would a teacher of the English language say about the way Anthony Morris III speaks?
by LogCon inconsidering the language, wording and grammar of anthony morris iii, if a teacher on the english language, at a prestigious university were to analyze anthony's public speaking, what comments and conclusions would they come to?
i say public speaking, because i would assume that an individual would be more careful with their words when spoken in public, than in private.
serious comments would be appreciated, however, i realize that outlaw and a few others are probably on a page of their own.. .

It's an emotional thing

in my case it is both severe and mild.
it is mild in that unless you talked to me for some time you would only think me a little odd.

Jehovah's Witnesses and Plastic Surgery?
by John Aquila inin my area, a lot of the young jws, especially girls are getting breast implants, nose jobs, chin implants.
asian jws girls get eyelid surgery, and one girl even got her legs lengthen 5 inches making her about five feet nine inches tall the male jws are getting hair transplants and nose jobs.
and nobody in the congregation says a word, including elders.

today, we know of 18 elemental particles following the recent discovery of the higgs boson, the so-called god particle.. back in 1897, most people believed in god because there weren't even any theories as to how the universe came into being.

Doltologist, you still can't speak of disbelief in God in polite circles in most of the US.
You can't talk about politics either because that's boiled down to a religious belief in your political persuasion which is often, like cults, not to be disturbed with pesky facts.

Pete, thank you for sharing your story. The mind is an incredible thing being able to compartmentalize and segregate thoughts that are too difficult for the conscious mind to process all at once. You paid for that bargain with your health, but since the entire process is now over, it seems you have adjusted nicely and are living your best life ever. Congratulations! -

Undue influence - other areas in life

since it is so easy to be indoctrinated with jw beliefs, are there other areas in my life where i'm also under influance of other false beliefs?

Witnesses tend to be particularly susceptible to multilevel marketing schemes. Also look out for places like DirectBuy where you pay a thousand or so upfront to get "wholesale" prices on all kinds of items. And, those Ginsu knives on TV? Yeah, they're crap. -

I realized this while sitting on the front porch steps after burying my pet cat who didn't look before she crossed the street. A breeze was blowing softly and birds were singing.
I realized that I too would die one day and the sun would still come up, and the breeze would blow, and the birds would still sing.
