Text him back using your wife's phone saying she is indisposed, but he can contact you if he needs anything.
That way he knows that no text messages to her are private.
Then see what happens.
there is a certain elder in my wives hall that has seemed to developed a real interest her.
first he seemed to feel a need to make sure all her blood cards were signed before she gave birth to our child.. he sends her text messages if she misses a meeting saying how much " we missed you last night ".
he finally sent her a text wondering where her oct hours were , knowing she had some pretty serious tears from child birth and could hardly even walk, much less do field service ".

leading churchman caught with perverted images of girls as young as three.
a leading churchman has been ordered to go on a sex offenders programme after he was caught with child abuse images of the most serious level on his home computer.. highly respected jehovah witness ian ross, 65, had perverted images of girls as young as three engaged in sexual acts with adults.. he pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children between may 2013 and may last year..
It says he was ordered to a treatment program in lieu of incarceration. But, do these programs work? I understand that these people aren't easily reformed.
Does anyone have more current information about the issue of treatment and reoffense for these types of sex offenders?
back in 1991, a young brother maybe 18 years old living next to my place committed suicide.
his father expected him to be very zealous just like he was, but the son never wanted to be like that.
he was always controlled by his father.
Knew a young man who got in a serious car accident and needed blood to survive. He refused.
That's suicide in my book.
what pranks could you/would you/ have you played in the kingdom hall?.
i have never but here's two i've thought of, 1) replace the liquid soap with glue 2) smear nutella everywhere in the bathroom!.
what's yours?.
My old hall in the '70s had these awful plastic bushes on either side of the stage. They were tall and there were so many of them that it looked like a jungle.
I took some Barbie dolls into the hall during cleaning night and posed them as if they were climbing up the trees in the jungle.
The next morning for the Sunday meeting I kept my mouth shut, but soon you could see kids whispering and pointing. But, they were camouflaged enough that the elders didn't notice them before the meeting.
Afterwards I managed to rescue them from their jungle expedition with the elders none the wiser, but the kids were laughing their asses off. It was th most fun they had at a meeting since....ever!
perhaps this was touched on in another thread so i apologize if it was ( i don't get to read all of the posts on here all the time) .
who leaked that october letter that was read about the midweek meeting restructuring and reduction in magazines?
it only could've been someone fairly high up in the organization or someone in the it department that converted it to pdf format, or someone from a branch that is in charge of digital correspondence, translation, etc.
Sorry...the above comment is on the wrong thread. I was aiming for the disaster preparedness thread.
Now I feel silly.

Live in an island in a flood zone that gets hurricanes fairly often. We have had our disaster routine ready for years.
Grab passports, purse with medication, file with financial info, change of clothes and blankets. Put cat in carrier, pack the car and evacuate. The last hurricane did not have a mandatory evacuation, but it dropped a giant tree on our roof so we had to leave. The plan worked like a charm.
Help from Watchtower not necessary.
1) many who were on the destructive path have been transformed by their teachings (this includes me who was once vicious, and presumptuous and atheistic).
2) equal monthly pay to all members of the bethel community regardless of whether they are bc members or sweepers.
this is something that still remains as an unattainable dream for the world.
lsw, glad to see you back!
Yes, I believe you are talking about the universal issue of sovereignty, yes? That like in the days of Noah, Jehovah would need to destroy the wicked, only saving those that are doing his will?
for the last few days i was discussing with a colleague of mine at work about the stock market and how some people, even when losing money, they will hold onto their shares because someone said they will rise again.
this may lead to lost opportunities or even losing all their money instead of de-risking and offsetting loses by buying another stock, in other word jumping ship.. this got me thinking about jws (knowing that i am still in).
took one step back and looked at our family and what we have done by sticking to this religion.
Yes, not planning for retirement can be devastating. But, there were plenty of Witnesses who did, who owned their own businesses and it seemed like those were the big shots in the circuits. Money still talks in "Jehovah's Organization."
Thank goodness my father fully funded his retirement. He did not grow up in the religion or with secure finances, so he had an urgency to provide for himself and my mother in their golden years. When he retired a few years ago, he had just as much income as while he was still working. A really smart guy. He could've done so much more...
Love you, Daddy!
i haven't yet won the state lottery but i purchased a lottery ticket last night.
if i win the lottery, it's $150 million.. if i win, my name is publicly announced and of course my picture gets into the news.
i will probably get df'ed.. however, will the wtbts accept a hefty "donation' from my 'lucky' winnings?
Yes, Bugslife, but you must tell them where it came from.
You know, write an old-fashioned check and put on the memo line: Proceeds from state lottery winnings.
That would be an interesting conundrum.
leah rimini spent a lot of money before she ditched her cult: .
over the years she says she spent about $2 million for services and training courses and made another $3 million in donations.
among her expenses was $40,000 to compensate scientology for sandwiches... article.
