my atheist, agnostic and deist family members, why don't we attack this insanity more?
dr. richard dawkins is finally calling out islam for it's true nature, i hope he is balanced because i don't want him to get killed by these whack jobs.
i enjoy listening to dr. dawkins debate and would like him to attack their false religion like he lambaste's christians, i guess it's a tight-wire act he must follow or they would kill him.
Thank you fulltimestudent for pointing out it was we, the Americans who armed and trained the fanatical muslims.
Many Americans either don't know that or don't want to admit it, but it's very true. We created a very dangerous beast.

Sickening. Taking taxpayer money.
You look 10 years younger!
Here's what always worked for me. I have seen a guy around a few times so he is no longer scary. I could check him out at my leisure. Then he says, "I like your Kix concert t shirt. You like them?" And then I would say yes and we would talk a little more. Then he would say, "You know they are playing at the arena next week? I'm going to see them, yup already got tickets. Wanna come along?"
He was already going, or so he said, so it took the pressure off so it didn't seem like such a big deal as a formal date. Girls get freaked out about the whole formal date thing, too. Keep it casual.
if one reads genesis from the first chapter through the end with an open mind, it is clear that not only is it not true, but that god is potrayed as a cruel, petty, childish micromanaging tyrant.
if one continues reading the ot this is just further solidified.
how do jws not see the obvious?
And yet, these gems of truth were also available in other and earlier religious traditions.
law school is obviously not the hardest program to follow.
it isn't something that can be replicated on the internet.
a first year student can find the law.
Thanks for the tip 144001. I'll be applying to Waste Management shortly.
Seriously, some of our custodians make more than $70,000. Something to think about...

I always laugh when people expect to be paid well for their study and hard work.
I work in what I consider one of the most important of the helping professions, teaching. You know, help form future generations, make a difference in the lives of many children, teach profound lessons that will stick with students for life, etc.
Turns out society doesn't think that's worth much at all, well monetarily anyhow. "Teachers should teach for nobler reasons than just money!" That's what the local taxpayers say, as well as, of course, the local budget committee.

being back in college after leaving the borg, one of the required classes for a degree at my college is ethics.
after learning a few things, i am curious where morality and ethics is heading for the future of humanity.
i wish i could find the source again, but several weeks ago i recalled reading a transcript of a very old document that talked about when christianity was being spread in europe, it brought civility and community.
Different perspective on "Yes ma'am" and "No sir."
I think it depends on where you live. We don't really use that much in the north. I am a teacher and the students just don't say it. In fact, the teachers agree that when kids say it, it feels cloying and, well, kind of slimy. Like Eddie Haskel on Leave it to Beaver
These things are so often regional.
And, please, finger bowls? I wouldn't frequent a place that uses them, however, I do enforce napkin use in the school cafeteria.
will you share with me an interesting discussion on what morals we all may have in common?
my recent reading has resulted in a fundamental shift in my worldview.
it feels like my house of cards have reshuffled themselves yet again, and everything i see, hear and smell is put in a new context.
Hi, Cofty! Glad I caught you. My son plays online with friends from the UK and usually comes crawling out from his room about this time at night because all of his friends have gone to bed. What a pity, him and his first world problems!
