It's really a stupid argument when you think about it. Your argument in favor of the org is that it's imperfect? So, if an organization is perfect then that's bad? But yet we must strive for perfection? But, if we fail, then that proves its God's organization?
after leaving the organisation 10 years ago i fought with everything i had to stay in my marriage and with my three children.
after a tumultuous number of years trying to maintain a happy family life while living in a divided home, it's finally over.
the religion is single handedly responsible for destroying my marriage and my family.
I noticed you used the past tense when saying you were a good dad.
Don't do that! You are the same dad you always have been! Arguably better because you are showing your kids how to live a healthy life, now!

couple of weeks ago an elder took a young man aside and crawled all over him after the tms for wearing a "skinny" tie.
it was one of those 2 inch wide ties.
nothing bright or scandalous about.
The only way to get a bully to back down and respect you is to stand up to them.
"Well, Brother Nosey, the next time I go clothes shopping I'll invite you and your wallet along because I've completely blown my clothes budget for the year!"
i've noted active, devoted jw's state the above.. and, it's not a problem for me to remain trusting of god, i just don't trust religions or men.. recently, a member of this forum stated that he remains an active jw, in the family of god's people, wanting to encourage and do good - whilst recognising that the pastoral leaders (the gb) have shipwrecked the faith of many, being unsound scripturally etc, etc.. stop and think about this - the bible says to not follow after those who lie and hurt the faith of "little ones".. the pharisees were accused of traversing over lands and expending much energy to make a single convert - only for that convert to end up worse of than he started off with.. it's one thing to not believe this is the 'truth' and feeling the awful pressure of managing ones life, trying not to lose ones family.. it's quite another thing to declare oneself to be a christian believer of god's jw household, and somehow believe the god of love would use corrupt liars to parade as jesus' brothers in the urgency of last days.

and, to then visibly promote faith in corrupt men, and try to bring converts into a place where the rulership is wrong.. some of us are dying from hurt here.......give me a break..
for those of you who have already faded due to family still being in, have you noticed how the noose is tightening?.
if it's not memorial, it's special day assembly.

At this point, it's pretty obvious to me that the GB are not in charge. They are just frontmen.
There's a shadowy cabal that's really in charge and these guys are just trotted out to do the dirty work. They are made to look like asses and it seems they are really good at fulfilling that role.
i have a friend who is still in.
this friend is a partaker, but has serious doubts about the org.
this friend wants to stand up as a man, and wants to call wtbts hq.

first of all, i want to say thank you everyone who contributes to these boards and provokes stimulating conversations and thought processes.
all the opinions and different perspectives are very enlightening.
Perry, there are a few other Christians who post on this site, however, none get jumped on as much as you.
Have you done any serious self-reflection to see why this might be so?
