talking about an article that makes you want to throw-up in your mouth- wt-study jan 15, 2015 the offered themselves willingly.. amazing the psych job of selling your business, moving your entire family, quiting your job to be a "temporary" worker at the new world headquarters!.
throw your livelyhood away only to get the "feeling" that jehovahs is blessing you!
i wish there was away to track the psych job during patterson and other major projects of what happened to all the "friends" that sold and got rid of their livelyhood then and where are they now.. did you ever sacrifce it all for a building project only to be left with nothing after your "spiritual high"?.
How ironic: Christendom pays for it's missionaries, priests, gives them lodging, food, something to live off of. How does the jw.borg treat their volunteers? Why, by expecting everything from them, while giving them NOTHING in return except a kick in the ass and a silver screw as they are booted out the door. Some Christian love those posuers got going on there, huh? I'm so glad I never fell for what they were continually shoveling. I was always pissed that my parents were always trying to "encourage" me to pioneer, or shoot for Bethel service. Huh? What for? To live a controlled life of perpetual poverty and boredom? To be used and then tossed out on your ass once you reached retirement age? NO THANKS!

These assholes are "top executives" from the Church of Scientology? REALLY? Wow....they are mighty big "Christians", what with all of that love being shown!! How many steps away from Scientology are the JW's with this behaviour? 1? 2 steps away possibly?
JW's are crazy and dangerous, Scientology is even more so! I am still dumbfounded that people could join a religion based up a sci-fi author's claims that we are former alien beings in human bodies, and that eventually we will return to Theta. I mean, seriously? But then again, 20 million people believe Joseph Smith interpreted a new Bible from seer stones who dug up somewhere in upstate NY. JW's believe a book publisher from the 1800's had divine truth by measuring the passageways of the Pyramids of Giza, and all would be raptured in October 1914. Crazies.....ALL of them.

i really don't understand the concept of forgiveness .
lately in my life several people have thrown that term around so easily ,and i am confused .
is it because we were taught to cut people off so easily as jws that i find it hard to forgive ?.
My parents raised me to be independant and self-sufficient, expecting that someday they might (and now are) DEAD, and that I'd have to make it on my own. Being raised a JW is almost contradictory to that, because you are perpetually taught to be a doormat, day-in, day-out for the "Mother Org."
I can't take crap off of anyone, period. I just don't have it in me. Toxic people who think they are going to dump on me and still be welcome in my life have had another thing coming.
I'd also like to take the time to make this statement: DNA / Family Ties do not give manipulativer abusers and USERS the right to treat you as a perpetual doormat, PERIOD. This bullcrap of having to forgive chronic users and narcasassits, only to have them turn around and continue on with their incredible behaviour is for the birds! When I "turn the other cheek", you can be sure my white azz is going to be showing for you to kiss it goodbye.
I am 35. If there's one thing I've learned from growing up in the JW religion, and then having to deal with back-stabbing, holier-than-thou zealot in-laws, is that I now reciprocate what I recieve. Want to crap on me, my family? GET BENT, and don't come back! If you're lucky and can run faster than me, I might not catch you in time to kick the living sh*t out of you. I have absolutely HAD IT with abusive self-centered types who put on some fake front like they're better than everyone else and their behinds don't stink, only to turn around dump on me. I've removed my in-laws from my (and my families) life for these exact reasons. My last communication with them was, "Enjoy the reaping of what you've sewn," and also that they'd better not ever come onto my property again unless they are prepared for the ass-whooping of the century.
Jesus can forgive them. Myself, they can kiss my azz.

at our service meeting we saw the video of a jw explaining his beliefs about 1914.. it was.....well, "underwhelming" does not do it justice.
what is below "underwhelming"?
"boringly tepid"?.
MMMmmmm-Kay!!!!

Also Gill Nazroff who was head of the building program at the time and a real jerk we soon found out, told just my husband and I on our first day at Bethel to expect nothing from anyone. Gill said that he was 'so sick of people selling off everything and then running out of money and getting mad at Bethel for putting them in such a place.' Gill said 'no one made them come.' 'That Bethel even recived letters from ones who were broke with nothing and no one to help them asking Bethel why Jehoivah was not helping them.' But Gill told us 'it was not Bethel's fault nor Bethel's place to help them.'
This experience right here, really shows the "love" that Bethel and the religion have for it's followers. It proves what I have seen/witnessed/experienced myself: That money and help only flow one way in JW Land, from the wallets of the faithful to the coffers of the Org. Don't expect one single penny or piece of help from this "charitable organization." It simply does not exist. This (1) experience above proves it. They can't even treat their own volunteers with dignity or respect. It is laughable now how GB Member S. Lett is up on tv.jw.org proclaiming how much they "love" the youth, etc. What a farce!!!

what an amazing story.
to hear her describe it, it sounds exactly like the controlling, abusive environment many of us were raised in, except i didn't get to spend 2 years confined to an extravagent hotel in switzerland.
she escaped at age 22 after: dum-da-da-dum!

Glenn Close, legendary actress whose roles needn't be listed for reference (Damages), spoke in a new issue of The Hollywood Reporter about her childhood spent in what the magazine calls a "violently anti-intellectual and possibly homophobic" cult. Ah!
The cult, known as the Moral Re-Armament, was led by Rev. Frank Buchman , an evangelical fundamentalist from Pennsylvania. According to The Hollywood Reporter , he was an alleged Hitler supporter during and after World War II and believed only those with "special guidance from God" were without sin. Close spoke about her memory of him, saying, "in order to have something like this coalesce, you have to have a leader":
You have to have a leader who has some sort of ability to bring people together, and that's interesting to me because my memory of the man who founded it was this wizened old man with little glasses and a hooked nose, in a wheelchair."
Close says she was brought into the cult by her father at age seven, and was moved with her brother and two sisters from Connecticut to the cult's headquarters in Caux, Switzerland. She describes the headquarters as a "very glamorous" hotel, in which they spent two years:
"You basically weren't allowed to do anything, or you were made to feel guilty about any unnatural desire," she recalled of her childhood in the MRA. "If you talk to anybody who was in a group that basically dictates how you're supposed to live and what you're supposed to say and how you're supposed to feel, from the time you're 7 till the time you're 22, it has a profound impact on you. It's something you have to [consciously overcome] because all of your trigger points are [wrong].
Close returned to Connecticut for school at age 15, but remained involved with MRA offshoot singing group Up With People (who have performed at more Super Bowl halftime shows than any other musical group, according to Wikipedia). (Congrats!) She left when she was twenty-two, explaining, "Many things led me to leave. I had no toolbox to leave, but I did it."
She refused, however, to explain how she broke free of the MRA: "I'm not going to go into all of that," she said. "You can't in an interview."
It never fails to amaze me how many things cults have in common. Imagine, the founding leader of this Cult was ALSO from Pennsylvania, and was also a supporter of Hitler! Incredible! I now have to go research if he had any affiliation with Adventism, etc.

my girlfriend's dad who is 82 lost his second wife to cancer last october.
while she was dying, he secretly was seeing another woman, in her 60s.
long story short, a month after the wife's death, they both moved in together and in early june , they secretly got married.
1.) He may be having the time of his life boinking a much younger woman.
2.) He's quit drinking, AND lost 40 lbs! Oh my, he must be at death's door!! lol.
3.) There may be reasons he is sick of his children. Maybe they were ungrateful, or didn't approve of him replacing "mom" so soon. He hasn't got time for that BS drama at his age, so told them to bugger off if they don't like it.
4.) Tattoo? This woman is The Debil!!!
5.) How hot is she?
6.) How loaded is he?
7.) This man apparently has taken the "blue pill", several times in fact! Yee-haa!!

as a kid i only collected comic books until around 1962.. my collection was very important to me and i had emotional excitement at the release of a new comic--but--i made a date with 2 girls.
on the same day and didn't have any money!
(not thinking it through, you see :).
Oh yeah, I've always been this way with one thing or another. Had a little knife collection as a kid. Had a serious watch addiction 2000-2010, with a collection worth around $15K. Sold them off, now only have 4 watches totally $1500.00. I have a nice firearm collection, but not out of hand or anything. I collected baseball cards as a kid, which I still have in the basement tucked away.
I too recently got back into knives. Probably have 15 or so. In the past 4 months I've bought:
1.) Spyderco Sage 1
2.) Spyderco Persistance, in limited blue G10 sprint run.
3.) Spyderco H1 Salt
4.) Spyderco Military in G10 camo with matte black blade.
5.) Boker Kwaiken Titanium Flipper with VG-10 blade.
6.) Boker Nano with black zytel scale.
So my collection is coming along.

documents and media releases relating to the shunning and discrimination of a special needs child by jehovahs witnesses in relation to the melbourne international convention, 17-19 october 2014. the following documents and press release were received by jw leaks in relation to the jehovahs witnesses international convention at etihad stadium, melbourne, australia.
it is understood that due to last minute information in relation to the administration and control of the first aid health services at the convention the following press documents had not been released to the media.. prior to publishing and releasing the following sensitive information, the members of the team at jw leaks made formal inquiries with the victorian workcover authority (vwa) and the administrators of etihad stadium (melbourne stadiums limited) as to whether measures have been put in place to prevent the jehovahs witnesses and watchtower bible and tract society of australia from operating any first aid health services and first aid department in alleged breach of applicable health and safety laws.. we were assured that the jehovahs witnesses will no longer have control of the first aid management at the event but that st john ambulance first aid officers will be on site for each of the three days.
it is our understanding that this was done for the purpose of protecting the health and safety of all 70,000 daily patrons and delegates attending the convention.
The Governing Body doesn't have a need, nor a use for "disabled children." They'll all be healed in the New Order. No, what the Governing Body needs is the parents MONEY $$$$. I'm sure they throw their noses in the air while exclaiming, "Too bad, too bad! If the parents had only heeded our spiritual direction and held off having children until the New System, they wouldn't have a special needs child to begin with. Tisk-tisk! Don't forget to donate via the ATM machines on your way out, Brother."
This is the attitude these money-grubbing pricks have. They couldn't give 2 sh*ts about children or people with disabilites. How do I know? Because IF they did, they'd have hospitals and children's hospitals to look after them, wouldn't they? Instead, orphans, widows, and the elderly, and the poor are told by the "Glorious Ones" whom wear gold pinky rings, "Go forth, be warm, and well fed."
Charitable organization, my a$$!!!!!!!!!
