Was my dad awake?!

once we found out he was dying, i spent every moment i could with him, we were very close.

Actions speak louder than words. He was awake, and steering you towards your own awakening. The terms he used are a dead giveaway, and recommending the book of James? Very clever indeed. Want to read a good WT book? Read the one written in the late 1970's, a Commentary on the letter of James. It was written by a Edward Dunlap, while he was still in the WT HQ.

I miss my family so much. I thought I was over it but I have breakdowns every few months thinking about my family
by macys inas most of you know i have been shunned by my family for 2 years because of a photo posted on facebook of me kissing another girl at a party.
the matter was not dealt with fairly but it is over now and i am 100% certain that jdub org is a cult.
but i miss my family so much.

Ask yourself this: Do you really want to expose your future children, to this level of toxic behaviour? I sure as hell didn't, and I haven't.
If you look at your post carefully, what you are truly missing is your pre-Cult family. THAT is what you are missing, not the cult-indoctrinated, heavily dysfunctional family. Sorry to say, you are NEVER going to have that family back again, they are gone, unless they all somehow wake up and leave simultaneously. You are missing a memory. I miss my parents as well. Guess what? There's nothing I can do about it because they all passed away before I was 30. Gone. They live now in my memories, and I tell my son about them and it makes me smile.
The cult family will not accept you as you are now, will be demeaning, judgmental, and belittling of every little thing you do, say, wear, and go. Do you REALLY want that level of craptacular back into your life?
If you grow up more and marry and have children, THEN you can start to have a normal family life on your own, as you see fit, with no WT Cult crap to have to contend with. And if you did allow your parents to see your children, it should always be 100% supervised so that they don't try to indoctrinate them and turn them against you. Think I'm kidding? Search this forum, you'll see it over, and over, and over again.
Trust me on this; the sooner you learn to protect yourself against these types of cults and in particular toxic behaviour (shunning, emotional blackmail, manipulation), the better off you will be. You're enjoying life, there is no enjoyment in the JW cult.

bust fellow worker leaving job 2 hours to go to KH

tonight he came back with a wt book in spanish .
i worked with his this man year and never knew he was a jw.. i went into how the wt lied to the mexician gov't just to own the land of the kh's .

My first Halloween Party

i didn't know what to expect but i was really excited to be invited to accompany my daughter and her closest friends to a large (300+) party held at a famous hot spot.

So you are (At least) 60, and your daughter isn't a JW? Did you get out before she was born, or did you all escape together while she was young, so that's why she doesn't even want JW's brought up? Just curious.

Special Pioneer Sister-in-Law and Husband just got their letter.
by cappytan inwell, my sister-in-law and her husband, special pioneers for only a couple of years, just got their letter.. her comment was along the lines of, "they're having to do this because they forgave all those kingdom hall loans a few years ago and the brothers aren't donating anymore.".
when my wife told me, i laughed so hard i farted.

Ha!!! So a bunch of free-loading MOOCHERS, are now PISSED because they've been kicked out of the big house, where they were used to living "high off the hog", and now have to come out into the workforce with the rest of us pee-ons and scrape out a living? Well, boo-freakin' hoo!!! Oh, how the Mighty have fallen!!! At least these people have a house and cars apparently, which 200% more than what 99% of the Bethelites and Special Pioneers have. (most have zilch!) Can you imagine the "sighing and moaning" that these freeloaders are going to be doing back at the home congregations? I pity the Flock that is stuck with these holier-than-thou types. Imagine, they'll come back and look down with disdain at the very Flock they've been living off of for 6+ years. The freakin' balls. So glad I no longer have to deal with these tools.

The most interesting part of this post; how the lay-off is spun to make it out that it's the Rank-n-File's FAULT that the Bethelittes and Special Pioneers are being sent packing, instead of management (Governing Body).
Incredible, incredible GAL I would say. YHWH provided manna from Heaven to help the Israelites wandering for 40 years in the hot desert, but somehow the current mouthpiece (GB), can't even provide the minimal stipend and insurance for the Special Pioneers (even after the huge money grab & fleecing this year), so ohhhh well, it must be because the rank-n-file are greedy and ungrateful, and aren't donating enough $$$$ ?? Is that about right? Well let me tell you Bethelites and Special Pioneers; F*ck ALL of you, if that's how you feel!!! You all are about to find out what it's like out here in the REAL world when you've been denied an education to get a well-paying job by the very leaders you idolized, and now have to work to make ends meet. Good luck scrounging around trying to find something "extra" to even shove into the contribution box at the KH, you ungrateful fools!
I can't believe it......I'm stunned, how much do you want to bet, that the unofficial "word" that's been put out by the Governing Body at WT HQ, is that it's the ungrateful R & F's fault that hese layoffs are occurring, and of no fault of the Governing Body due to their own incompetence. These greedy charlatans at the top just can't stoop any lower!!!!
