so i recently made a trip back to my home town to visit some extended family still in.
the whole trip was very awkward.
for a whole bunch of reasons i won't bore you with, we stayed in a hotel near where the family lives, maybe as kind of a barrier to being in constant contact with the cult mentality.. being a very early riser, i went to the grocery to pick up a few things.
Maybe it's a testament as to how her family life TRULY was while she was growing up? So bad, that she has completely removed them from her life and denies their existence? Wouldn't be the first time I've heard of such.

recently susie, one of my co-workers mentioned that her husband's family were all jws.

All growing up I was told that everyone hates the JW's, we are to be persecuted, we stand for righteousness and are preaching God's Sovereignty to rule the universe, that when the Great Tribulation breaks out we'll be rounded up like in WWII and tortured, etc, etc. Come to find out, the "World" doesn't give 2 shits about the JW's, and doesn't even have a clue as to what the JW's believe or preach about. The world only knows that they are a major pain in the ass on Saturday mornings and on holidays. What a fine "Witness".
