In short, she was abused by not just one, but TWO JW's, one of which was an in-law. She was threatened and after a few years when she broke down and told her parents, her father (ever concerned with his "position") instead of being a man and going and kicking the dogshit out of his daughter's abusers and then call the police, instead called the Elduhz to his home to interrogate his young daughter. (I heard some Elduhz were related to the abuser!) So of course, she was hushed up and they were DF'd, but she was victim-shamed and made to feel "dirty" by her brainwashed, indoctrinated, warped parents. SAD. (Shame on you Bob & Connie!) Did I mention she was DF'd as well? Guess she "deserved it" somehow in the JW's eyes.

A sincere Bravo! to Sarah for having the bravery to come forward and not only get justice for herself, but also for showing up the JW's as the victim-shaming scumbags that they truly are. it actually took me a few years to finally leave the organization so i was mentally out for a while before i simply stopped all meetings altogether.. how long did it take you to finally make the break?

You are 100% correct. I always got weirded out vibes around JW's, even as a kid. And yeah, they were always harping on about trusting your brothers and sisters as they aren't like "Worldly" people. They're right, JW's are WORSE!!!!!
Case in point: The JW kids I went to school with. At least 50% of them were WORSE than the so-called "worldly" kids I was warned to stay away from. I was encouraged to make friends with these two-faced assholes, which I refused to do since they couldn't be bothered to give me the time of day inside a Kingdom Hall. And at school? Ha! They acted like little darlings at the KH, but in school they were total heathens! Smoking, drinking, sex, lookin like scum, etc. It was an amazing sight to behold. Their parents were all clueless morons!
No wonder to me that something like 9 out of 10 JW kids I grew up with, left at 18 and have NEVER returned. Only the truly brainwashed, homeschooled, sheltered JW kids of Elduhz and Pioneers remain, and they luv that shit cause it's all they know.

Local Elduh. 144,000 Anointed. Husband. Father. Rapist. Incestuous child molester.
Mid-90's, wife of 20+ years left him along with their 3 daughters. 2 sons stayed with him. She was made out to be a Jezebel and DF'd. Daughters never showed up to KH again.
Fast-forward almost 20 years. I discover:
1. Eldest son was arrested multiple times for child porn, as well as nearly killing an infant of his GF's. 3rd Strike, was sent to State Pen for 25-life. This made the local newspapers and he was on Megan's Law website.
2. Youngest son (my age) had apparently kidnapped and raped his youngest sister. He was caught, but not arrested. All kept hush-hush in the Congregations, but WT HQ had a letter sent to his new Congregations forbidding him from going out in service unsupervised or with children. No privileges, etc.
3. Was told Elduh father had molested probably ALL of his children. ALL of them.
4. Saw a post online by Elduh molester's ex-wife confirming this, as well as her discovery that he had raped his sisters growing up. Disgusted is an understatement.
5. Elduh was never turned in, prosecuted, etc. He was shuffled off to a neighbouring county where he eventually was made an Elduh again. Served in a foreign language Congregation for a while. Remarried eventually to a Pionsneer dumbass. Saw him out walking going door-to-door about 3 years ago. I couldn't believe he wasn't dead or in jail. My jaw hit the floor.
6. Daughters all "out" of JW's and seem well-adjusted with families of their own. No contact with father or molester brothers. Mother "out" as well, long-ago.
7. Eldest son in PA state penn.
8. Youngest son fled Pennsylvania, headed down south last I heard and married a woman with 3 young children.
9. I had a book study with this Elduh when I was 13-14 yrs old, and it was the Greatest Man book. It was alone in my home. We had no idea. Nothing happened. If it had, my father would have killed this man and dissolved his body in a bathtub filled with lye acid. (he was a Vietnam vet, and CSA survivor himself)
Anointed abuser resides in one of the Mount Joy, PA Congregations. I won't name names, as no prosecution has ever been brought forth. Local members can guess who I am referring to. Anyone guessing who I am? EAT SHIT. I was never baptized, all my family are dead, and I am untouchable.

i'm a a nosey bastard and a bit of a home body when i'm not at work so i don't miss much of who comes past my home or knocks at the door.. will and dill.. they came to my door on a wednesday morning around 10:30am mid june 2016, i was on afternoon shift and had been reading bart ehrman "misquoting jesus".. what follows is the conversation as best i could recount after they left;.
of the two young gentlemen, dillon, the younger in appearance introduced will and himself, he then proceeded to present me with a brochure about world conditions supposedly getting worse.. me: i could stand at the door nodding in agreement if you like?

after all these years, it seems to me that people do not properly take note of what happened on this date in 2001. for some, it’s like nothing major happened.
for me it is a day of reflection..
I had just turned 22 a month before. 9/11 was my "Generations" JFK, or Pearl Harbor. Nobody forgets where they were or what they were doing when they first heard about the 1st plane crashing into the WTC. Then, turning on the radio, nearest TV, or internet sites.
I live a few hundred miles south in Pennsylvania. It was an absolutely beautiful day. I mean spectacular. Crisp, perfect temperature, and that lasted all day here on the east coast. In all honesty, that added to the surreal feeling of the day. It's like it was all so hard to take in because of how wonderful the weather was. It wasn't dark or gloomy. Early morning, I was getting my car inspected, then drove promptly to work. I got to work at about 9:15. Everyone was already talking about it, watching it on the TV, and on the internet as well. (slow as it was back then, but not bad actually) I hadn't had the radio on on my way to work, so it was news to me.
The next few weeks were a DAZE. Even though I had been physically "out" of the JW's since about 15, I was still pretty much mentally "in." I held to the JW belief system. I figured this was the start of the Great Tribulation. Or did I? I honestly did NOT hurry back to the Kingdumb Hell like so many others did. I didn't attend at all. Neither did my mother. It was all such a shock, and I figured if it was the Time of the End, than so be it. I knew there'd be war of this, but to still be here in 2019, with no Armageddon in sight? Never even occurred to me. I just turned 40 in August. Never thought I'd be this age in This System of Things. Here I am! 2020 is just around the corner. Than, 2021 - and 20 years since 9/11.
I now understand how my parents felt as they reflected where THEY were on Nov 22nd, 1963. They used to speak of "before and after" when referring to it. Truly, there was a "before 9/11", and there is now an "after."
i have been sad to see so many groups and individuals say that the cause of these events are the mental status of the shooters.
i have looked over the backgrounds of these shooters, and few had medically identified mental health issues.
it is too easy to think that people shoot or kill other people because they are mentally ill.. actually, many or most people with real mental illnesses are most likely to be the victims of others.. i have been a volunteer with the organization called nami (national alliance of mental lillness) for 25 years now.
West Texas Shooter Update: It's now been reported that shooter had recently had a string of mental issues, and was in fact DENIED a weapon due to a background check being performed when he went to purchase one. The FBI and ATF are looking into how he obtained an AR rifle. (illegally, duh!)
So, tell me again how many of these shooters are SANE and how all of the gun laws the USA currently has fails everyone?
