Jehovah's Witnesses came by today.
by 3rdgen inthis morning i was in our front yard sitting down pulling weeds when i saw 3 people slowly walking on the sidewalk in my direction.
2 of them were young, handsome, clean shaven, wearing nice crisp white shirts and perfectly tailored black slacks.
they could have been mormons except.... there was a 60ish portly woman wearing a frumpy dress and ugly sandals.

I'm 45 now. I grew up on the scary WatchTower covers of the early 1980's. The 1984 WT Bound Volume has never left my library. It's 100% PROOF of WatchTower's false prophecy. Those WT's were used right at the doors for years afterward as proof as to how far into the "End" we all were. Then the Revelation book came and ramped up the fear mongering even more. It was a weird book, especially so for a young kid like myself. I learned to read with the red "Live Forever" book. (that had scary pictures as well) Then in 1995, Poof! Gone. And now, even "types and anti-types" has been thrown onto the trash heap of WatchTower past. My parents had a full library of old books going back to the Bible Students even, FILLED with all sorts of Fred Franz's "types and anti-types" made up nonsense, that would be used in supplementation in our weekly group "book studies." What a boring, colossal, waste of my precious youth and time! With the exception of the "Commentary of James" (written by Ed Dunlap), I actually trashed 99% of my late parents old JW library. Gone!
Just think......the JW's "Great Disappointment" of 1995 is now almost 30 years ago! 1975 will be 50 years ago. This Organization is now for the ignorant and willful suckers whom are too dumb to let their fingers and minds to the walking over to Google and research the history of this money-grubbing CULT.

Olympic games/ jw.org keep on the watch

the closing remarks of the ioc president bach, thaf the games will not reach peace but plant peace in the hart of people was a strong message.. the organization and message of the games is all that jw.org wants to, but can't.. very sad and narrow minded, as ever.

I remember a magazine route I had complaining that "your organization never has anything positive to say about anything other that itself" after a similar article many years ago.
^ Yes!!! This Organization is it's own favourite charity as well.
As a very young child, I quickly learned that this a "thou shalt not" religion. Everything I ever asked for, or to do, was always a flat-out "No!" from my parents if it didn't revolve around the religion or somehow benefit it. I also noticed the negativity and total lack of any "real" charity, even though my so-called "worldly" classmates eagerly donated their time and money to do so. It was unreal.

I watched a few brief minutes of this. It's all I can stand. The cultspeak and weird ass monotone way of speaking and bullshit acting is just an insult and assault of my intelligence.
NO ONE in the real world talks or acts like this. No one. This is all JW cult bullshit. Just like Scientology and Mormons have weird ass meetings and "cultspeak", so too do the JW's. Try watching the documentary "Going Clear" with that actor who escaped. He rambles on and on at one point using Scientology lingo that is like total gibberish to a normal person. It means nothing because it IS nothing!
So too are the way JW's speak. They are infantilizing and an assault against any grown, fully-formed adult psyche. But you see, that's the problem here. There is no one left in this cult except the born-ins who now operate at a nearly toddler-level of comprehension.
What grown-ass man even feels he has to speak to other grown-ass men and confess such petty bullshit? Ya know, it's not even like a Catholic confessional where you go into a booth, kneel, confess some sins (major or minor) to an anonymous Priest, and then are given some assignments and also forgiven. THAT seems pretty clear cut and simple. This bullshit is all petty, so very NOT private, drawn out into actual fucking multi-part COMMITTEE MEETINGS, and then you are STILL NOT "forgiven." You're "removed" and then have to be publicly shamed and then grovel on an on for 1+years to get back into the Elder's good graces. But wait! UNLESS you are an upstanding ELDER with a good reputation, handing a lot of Congregation responsibilities, no one knows about your "sins", and you are all repentant cause it happened years ago. Well golly-gee! ALL IS FORGIVEN! Carry on then, Elduh Whacksalot! Hardy-Har-Har!
What a double-standard. What a Good ol' Boys Club! GTFOOH with this dumbass shit, WT HQ!!!

Oh man, I fuggin' KNEW IT! This grifter went on yet another "Holiday."
I've traveled a good bit in my life, but never the amount that this slob does. Seriously, he's on Holiday every 3 to 4 months? He literally acts like he's part of the Royal Family or something. Every time ya check on the guy, he's on some "Holiday."
Here's a tip:
Less "Holidays" spent abroad, and more time on oral hygiene, grooming, and dressing as an adult.

I'd also like to point out (in contrast to this internal video training) that Higher Education IS acceptable when you have a skill or trade that WatchTower HQ desperately needs! Every few years after a good WT HQ house-cleaning of the old Bethelites, fresh new letters are sent out to the Elder Bodies to encourage them to get people to apply to Bethel (WatchTower HQ) that have the following advanced degrees:
IT, Engineering, HealthCare, Accounting/Finance, and last but not least - Legal!
Fine Print: No degree in something they need? You need not apply, losers!
So if you're a JW who dared to buck their "suggestions" and got a degree in the above mentioned fields, why WT HQ could surely "use" you! All voluntary and unpaid of course, and until they are thru with you and used you up - then you'll be tossed out on your ass with NOTHING to show for it! That's their idea of "Christian Love." Ask any former Bethelite who's been promptly shown the door in the past 10-15 years and they'll tell you (if they're being open and honest) how they feel about the "Fine Shepherds" at WT HQ.
So as usual it's, "Rules for thee, but not for me!"
