You know MadJW, your quote from Satan about him telling Eve that she would never die if she ate the fruit, reminded me of another similar scripture.

It's the one from the last supper where Jesus told his followers that whomever ate of his flesh and drank of his blood, would never die. (or words to that affect) Funny, the WatchTower society forbids it's followers from symbollicaly doing just this - a rejection of Christ Jesus himself!!!

They (F&DS) instead insert themselves upon the throne of Jesus Himself as the Great Crowd's mediator between God, Jesus, and mankind (a position Jesus stated was his and his alone) and have taken it upon themselves to state that Jesus has already come (invisibly in 1914) and they keep the Kingdom of God from mankind.

Does any of the above mentioned ring a bell for you?? Hmmmm? Doesn't that fit the description of a false prophet and wolves in sheep's clothing that Jesus talked about to a "T"????? Sure sounds like it to me.

Well, judging by the dialogue, I do believe we are "witnessing" (har-har) in real time, the discovery of two people, or possibly two families even, that were talking through this forum but did not know that they were talking to friends anonymously. I think maybe there were clues given or words used that made one of them wonder if the other was a common friend, and it looks at though it is so.

Please confirm or deny. If true, that is wonderful. We'd love to hear the details (minus names of course) of your re-unifcation or "finding out" as it were.

You can't mention the watch you wear or else be outed? As a real watch nut, I find this very telling. You see, in order to out yourself based upon your watch, I'd have to guess that it is not only very expensive, but also very unique. Glasshutte? JLC? A. Lange? Patek? Blancpain?

For instance, there is an American watch company based in Lancaster, PA. A lot of watch companies used to be in Lancaster, PA, but those like HAMILTON were bouht by Swiss watch giant ETA, etc. So HAMILTON is no longer made there, but in Switzerland.

But there is ONE fairly young company in Lancaster that is called RGM. Totally custom timepieces (for the most part) with highly decorated movement and complications. RGM is the founder's initials, Roland G. Murphy. Last I heard, he's an Elder in one of the Mt. Joy congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. I've been through the RGM facility on a tour. It was an old bank at one time, which is great because the watches he creates and sells cost THOUSANDS and TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars. Sure is interesting how the guys with all of the money float right to the top of the toilet boy, aye? I was astounded when I found out this guy was an Elder, interestingly it made sense after the fact because he comes off as a total elitest asshole to his customers and the tour I was on that went through there - now I know why - he can't stand to be around the "worldlies" I guess.

SIDE NOTE: Whenever I see someone's name of "Johnny" I automatically think of Christopher Walken in the movie, "The Dead Zone". I don't know why, I just do. Maybe it's because "The Dead Zone" title itself so adequately relates to how JW's live, as well as how they view ones that have left, kind of a double or triple meaning type of phrase. Weird, I know.

they can then be downloaded by the cobe or the secretary.

then they are passed around to those who could not make it to the meeting.. after that, the cd is to be destroyed.

They already kind of do. There have been reports of announcements made at the DC's about not using too much toilet paper to cut costs, as well as mirrors being taped over in the women's room, AND of course the kicker for me is not only do you have to wear a nametag, but you have to stay in your full formal wear before and AFTER the conventions with your nametag, so as to be a good Witness while out eating, etc. That's right, no heading back to the hotel room and changing into jeans for you, Brother Wantstobecomfortable, you must obey us and stay in a stinking hot suit in the middle of July during a heat wave, whether you like it or not!!

I am certain these rules on dress come straight from Bethel; they figure they do this crap up there, so should everyone else around the globe, no matter how ludicrious the demands on the intrusion upon personal time.3

Yeah, their cult-control tactics are in over-drive for sure. More new rule books, more loving council, more direction, more restrictions, more, More, MORE, while they give nothing back to the flock.

once again my wife and i were sent the " witness only " wt version by our lurking jw friend that they study at wt study meetings.

and once again wt society is showing very controlling tendencies towards it's jw members.. do any of you remember the " old days " in the 1970's or early 1980's when witnesses used to have goody night after book study ?

or you would have a " potluck picnic " with about 30 to 40 people getting to know one another to draw close as friends outside the confines of the kingdom hall ?

Gee, why do soooo many people think they are a cult? Duh-aaaah--duh....I wonder how "worldly" people could EVER come up with that concept of JW's.....could it be...oh, I don't know........ISOLATIONISM and craziness? Yeah, I'm thinking so!!

I thought it was bad when I was growing up in the 1980's, man they are really cracking the whip NOW!! Who could sit and listen to these out-right intrusions and restrictions upon your personal life, going so far to regulate your friendships WITHIN the congregation, as well as any entertainment? Well, I know they've always done this, but I don't recall it being so brazenly bold.

Speaking of "brazen" does anyone see how these new rules will correlate nicely with the new Elder's Manual that is being brought out, and the new wider rules for disfellowshipping based upon "brazen attitude"?? I sure as hell do. You'll either do as they command or else be considered "brazen" and then promptly DF'd. INSANE!!!!!

I swear, everything is so "Mission Impossible" with this secret society of cheap suits. Imagine, you have a few instructions about how to dress, where to stay, to wear your name tag at all times, etc, but the CD that it is on will self-destruct in 5 seconds after you have listened to it.

Hahhahahahaha!! Freakin rediculous, and outright paranoid if you ask me. Ewwwww......don't let anyone hear our super-secret, specific, ever-controlling instructions, burn the CD immediately after hearing it.

I used to be a complete watch fanatic, and had about $15,000.00 worth in just a few watches. The most expensive was an Omega SpeedMaster w/Moonphase indication, that was $5500.00 by itself because of a few custom items on it. I've also had Rolex, Hamilton, Swiss Army, Orient Star, Seiko, Citien, EPOS, Glashutte Original, Skagen, Invicta, Sinn, Casio, Panerai, and Eterna. Eterna was great as well. I actually learned a good bit of German and Japanese from dealing with so many people around the globe while searching out my next watch.

Now, I'm down to a few watches, none of them over $600.00. I've gone on to more active hobbies such as firearms (target shooting) as well as photography.

All of my firearms are custom set-ups, and I update my DSLR camera every (2) years. I just sold my Nikon D5000 in order to fund the new Nikon D3100 coming out on the 17th. I can't wait.

Bethel Rules

To LITS: I'm sorry you had to go through that physical and emotional ABUSE, and that is what it was. No way could a man get away with that out in the "world", but I guess it's allowed in God's "Spiritual Paradise". If I were your husband, I would have found that overseer one night as he's coming back from his congregation duties (usually outside of Bethel) and he and my fist would have a nice long chat. Seriously, that guy wouldn't have been an overseer any longer because he would have been in traction. AND, as I stated, I would have done it somewhere outside of Bethel, where no one could see it, then when he regained the ability to talk and accused me of beating him up and they form a JC, I'd ask where the second witness was to these false accussations? Case closed. Hahahahaha!! No way would I allow my wife to be treated in such a fashion.

Reading all of these experiences has truly showed what for a hell on earth Bethel is. Like I said before, imagine living in the New Order like this? Truly, the Pharoahs have returned!! Crack that whip!!!!!

What a con, what a phony facade!! The tour groups see nice clean offices and buildings, but they know nothing of the real working conditions in this prison-like, controlled, slave-labor type existance. Damn, I am truly grateful I never sought to go there, but then again, I grew up around these hypocrites and I had ZERO desire to spend my life in a placed FILLED to the brim with them!! And I thought this way as a born-in, still believing kid!!! Haha!!!
