Well another one leaves the Borg.

i took a quick trip to the store and i happened to see a young man (about 26-28 years old) who got baptized about the same time i was leaving- about 2 years ago.

a couple of pioneer sisters found him in the door to door work.

one of them, a very attractive girl.

Bravo!! Bravo to that young man! One less "victim" that the WTBTS can fleece of youth, life, and liberty.

I wish I could have been with you. I wish I could have heard him speak. His words could have very well been mine, even though I was born in. I had similar conversations with my parents growing up, about how uppity and smug JW girls were....that nothing you did was ever good enough. The constant bashing of higher education, while some Elder's kids secretly obtained degrees anyway, and no one knew until they got a good-paying job.

It's experiences like this that confirm to me that leaving was the right thing to do, and that I in fact am not crazy. THEY are the crazy brainwashed Cult members. I hope you gave that young man this website address, as well as told him he was lucky to have escaped a highly-controlling CULT.

If the JW's had their way, this young fellow would have immediately dropped out of college, started his own janitorial business while full-time Pioneering beside a literature cart, and giving every cent to the contribution box and every ounce of life to the cult. Guess he wasn't having any of that? Guess he didn't want to be a complete LOSER all his life, huh?

Our hall is asking for money...

i guess the branch isn't happy with the amount being sent each month since we are way lower than our loan amount.

we now have to another financial survey to see the max amount that can be given.

it is "encouraged" for all to be in attendance and give much forethought and consideration to the amount you can donate each month.

WT.org has totally jumped the shark with that form. Could you imagine such a form being passed around in the 1980's? My parents would have gotten up from their seats and promptly LEFT, never to return. It was instilled in my as a born-in that the WT Society would NEVER beg or guilt their members into donating $$$$ like worldly churches of Christendom did. NEVER. In fact, it was stated that if/when they did ever start that, that that is when you'd know Satan had infiltrated the religion, possibly the Governing Body, and that it was time to leave. No bull. That's how I was raised. That's what I heard from older Elders, now deceased of course.

This begs the question, "Whom really are the Apostates?" Who now are beating their fellow slaves? Hmmmm.

Do tell GB, what exactly do you contribute BACK to your Flock? What soup kitchens, orphanages, retirement homes, hospitals, free clinics, community centers (that actually benefit people, not just Assembly Halls), homeless shelters, and the like have you built to help your fellow man? Answer: ZERO. Therefore, I feel that you are deserving of exactly ZERO of my financial funds.

I've been saying this for a long time now, "The money only flows one way in WT-Land, from the wallets of the rank and file to the coffers of the WT accounts."

Not one dime ever returns to a sheep who is need to help pay for medical bills, financial hard times, education, drug or alcohol rehab, or similar. Other "worldly" religions take care of their Flocks, so what exactly is the WT's excuse? They have none, except they are too busy buying and building up their real estate portfolio to give a damn. Well guess what WT? We and many of the rank and file that you perpetually shit upon, no longer give a damn about you either. Enjoy the reaping you assholes!

What I want to know is why was she so insistent on wanting to wash a 10-yr old boy's hair?

As far as I'm concerned, no guest in my home would be allowed to go into the bathroom and wash my 10-yr old son's hair. That is totally inappropriate and crosses personal boundaries. My hair stylist does this for my son before cutting his hair because she's cut my hair for years, is a paid professional in an actual salon, and I'm in the room while she's doing it.

This article is very telling about the judgmental attitudes and priorities of JW's. First thing young Ted asked this woman was, "Are you a Pioneer?" Status. Saving face. Clawing your way to the top of the Theocratic ladder. Groveling for God's approval to reign in heaven as a 144,000 King of the Universe. That's the name of the JW game. Sickening.

This woman really doesn't say jack-squat about her "marriage" to this man. Just that she enjoyed spending full-time service in servitude to "the Boss", and acting like a pompous Queen beeouch to the other lesser women at Bethel. Oh yes, she had humble beginnings in a poor backwoods Canadian province. But she escaped.....and she wasn't going back!! It was the living off the kindness of the rank-n-file from a suitcase bought from Jean Paul Gaultier while enjoying "much needed" vacations to Sweden, Europe, and anywhere in the world where her royal highness was needed, or where it was warm.

Now, with the "Bossman" long since pushing daisies, the Queen has been pushed into the background by the other, younger up-n-coming Queen Beeouches at Bethel. The old Queen-mum is just about dead, and the new high-n-mighty Queens rule the Kingdom. Let's all Boo-hoo for the ol' Queen-mum, as apparently no one really gives a crap about her retro-50's hair salon or her azzhole of a husband who's no longer around to kick ass and take names, and blame the victims of child abuse for their own belittlement. Boo-freakin' hoo!!!!!

Don't worry ol' Queen-mum; your turn at the "Launch Pad" probably isn't very far off, and soon you'll be reunited with your tyrant of a husband in the "common grave".
