Wow.....I too am shocked. I was given the "boot" a few years ago, but I honestly still read stories and experiences on there every day. I think it's horrible that the site couldn't have at least been left up and "locked", so others could still read archive. It's like the place never existed, which is really sad. Also, I don't understand why it couldn't have been passed on to a new ownership and moderators. So the mods move on in their lives, and just decide to shutter the place like it never existed and everyone else be damned? That is cold, IMHO.

Missionary in Asia works part time as teacher told by Bethel hand over pay check!!

they only way this minsterial school grad missionary could get a visa was as an "english teacher" so he got a job part time and pioneered the rest of the time.

he was very upset when bethel told him his wage for english teaching belongs to them!!!

he had expenses living in this asian land and had no family support, but bethel thought his small watchtower "reinburstment" was enough.

OMG, a whole other layer of insult, in having your EX-WIFE and her new JW husband there? Wow....just wow.

No way would I ever tolerate such incredible behaviour. These people have no shame, because they also lack EMPATHY. A true trait of sociopaths. Like I said, that "Brother" would no longer be any "brother" of mine.

Daughter went to college, and became a nurse. DING! DING! DING!

As a college student, she learned critical thinking skills.

As a nurse, she has had to deal with the "Blood issue", HLC, JW patients, etc FIRST HAND. My JW mother was an RN for 35 years. She said it's amazing how many times she hung blood/fractions on a JW patient, and was req'd to keep her mouth shut (HIPPA laws of course).

Your daughter MIGHT be slightly awake. Your JW Brother on the other hand? What an azzhole. Wave your daughter and grandkids in front of your face like a carrot, then make sure you know you're not invited? I'd never speak to that manipulative douchebag again, nor would I be at his funeral. F' him!

.....back when I was a kid in 1984, you would have been Disfellowshipped. What "happened" in 1914 was absolute core doctrine and TRUTH, not overlapping generational nonsense. If you didn't tow the party line 100%, making such a cavalier statement as you did above, you would have been disfellowshipped for a "lack of faith", then tossed out on your azz! THAT, would have effected your relationship with the Big J's, because once disfellowshipped, according to WT doctrine, Jehovah and Jesus don't even listen to your prayers.

Stop trying to sugar-coat the BS. All of us on here are hip to it, and not buying a word of it. Happy as a JW? You mean, "woefully ignorant", and lapping up the slop that your GB Masters are serving you? Umm....yeaah.....you do that! Good luck with all that.

That's an interesting perspective, that I myself never considered. That being, that since 1914 is NULL and VOID, then that means we are still in the Gentile Times, and the "one true religion" is in the future, and resurrection for us all in the future to learn about a perfect religion is a possibility. I know agnostics/atheists on here would disagree, so I'm referring to those of us whom still consider ourselves Christians. What an incredible weight lifted off!!
