yesterday, i was driving around on a beautiful fall day in arizona and thinking about how lucky i was.

how my dead friends could never enjoy this day or the thousands of other days they had missed over the years.

one of the writers had a bone to pick...made the dubs look like a cult.

(not hard to do, i know) very realistic, and they got all the lingo right.

Is that for real? Sounds like a JW writer on the show, if you ask me! Seriously, sounds like something JW Broadcasting would come up with to make the "World" look bad, and also as some sort of lesson as to what happens when you leave Jah's Organization. (GAG)

i heard that this hearing had commenced last week, and today i found the actual video of the entire hearing.

for context: pennsylvania still has an outdated law wherein an abuse victim only has a certain amount of time to come forward and have their abuser charged with a crime.

several abuse victim advocacy groups have been lobbying and petitioning around the country in states where these statute of limitations remain in order to rewrite the laws to eliminate such time frames so that victims of abuse can come forward at any time in the future and press charges.

Here is the video of those proceedings, and Sarah's testimony starts at 5:15:55. It is hard to sit thru this and not nearly burst into tears. I can't even imagine the bravery it must have taken to do this, so a heartfelt "Thank You" goes out to her and the others that testified that day.

He also borrowed from the Adventists, Quakers, and Masons. In short, she was abused by not just one, but TWO JW's, one of which was an in-law. She was threatened and after a few years when she broke down and told her parents, her father (ever concerned with his "position") instead of being a man and going and kicking the dogshit out of his daughter's abusers and then call the police, instead called the Elduhz to his home to interrogate his young daughter. (I heard some Elduhz were related to the abuser!) So of course, she was hushed up and they were DF'd, but she was victim-shamed and made to feel "dirty" by her brainwashed, indoctrinated, warped parents. SAD. (Shame on you Bob & Connie!) Did I mention she was DF'd as well? Guess she "deserved it" somehow in the JW's eyes.

A sincere Bravo! to Sarah for having the bravery to come forward and not only get justice for herself, but also for showing up the JW's as the victim-shaming scumbags that they truly are. The Philadelphia Inquirer, YDR, and WGAL reports did NOT go unnoticed in this area and others. I'd also like to state Sarah's other siblings are also OUT of this nutcase cult, and hopefully living full lives. The parents? Still sippin' the Kool-Aid!! Ohhh yeaaaah!
