It makes sense for them to do that. Drop the rented hall and use the hall that is fully owned. Too bad for those that live further away but I'm sure it balances out as a boom for those that live closer to it.
i heard a local needs item last night which is not only adding different congregations to a different circuit, (to balance the numbers attending) but also moving all of the congs in that circuit from a relatively nearby rented venue to an assembly hall more than 4 times the distance away!
how loving of the glorious ones!
what a blessing they are giving to the flock!.

against my better judgement, i've decided to share the following as a response to guy pierce passing and the announcement of the elimination of district overseers later this year.. late in january (2014) i got an email from one of my contacts (a fader) who served at bethel for several years, but is no longer at wt hq.
he still has a lot of close contacts within the service department and in other departments at patterson and knows people in all of the ny offices.
i kept this email set aside on a flash drive and haven't shared it with anyone - figuring i'd publish an article about it later this year when i had more time to do it right.
I've always felt that the 144,000 number was symbolic given the context of where it was mentioned in Revelation. The pressure must be really high for them to flip this key doctrine.
I don't buy the notion that the DOs will be retired early or made into COs. It is not in their best interests to de-centralize or weaken their bureaucracy.
Dissolving the DOs means dissolving the districts too. Dissolving the districts into circuits will make the zones unmanageably large, and the ZOs overworked and spread thin. Unless they want to dissolve ZOs and their zones as well. Either way it will cause the COs to be more affiliated with the congregations than with the WTS company, the congregations to becoming more autonomous, and the local body of elders to becoming more powerful and autonomous within their congregations. A real political power shift!
If the COs are made to fend more on themselves, they are going to court more favor with the congregations and build allies with those that will support them later in their old age. After all, they have their wives to consider too.
It's not going to look very good. So I'll be surprised if this DO thing happens.

I agree. Serena Williams is Queen of tennis.
I guess she'll always have detractors. Especially those that want to mix her religion as part of what makes them grind their axes.
I think we can admire the talent that Serena Williams is and keep her religion out of it.
im new here on the forum.
i been "dissasociated" for about a year n a half.
i left after reading the bible cover to cover and discovering the truth about 9/11, illuminati, masons, witchcraft, new world order, paranormal activity, ufos, etc.
The UN fiasco was shocking to me. Then the silent exit and cover-up was disgraceful. I couldn't believe it - it was that shocking. Then I waited for the offical explanation on this that never came.
As far as I know there has never been an acknowledgement of their UN membership to date. They really think nobody noticed.
There is nothing to hide or suppress if you have the truth.
The way they handled this stumbled me greatly.

The curtin moves because of air circulation.
it cracks me up if you bring this subject up to a witness , they always try to convince themselves that i'm reading into this!!!.

It's just a business transaction.
i think we all know the reason millions of less hours.
when i was in we went to a rv by the kingdom hall then drove 30 minutes out to the country to knock on a door then back to the city for one more door.
god must be so proud!
That's how I "officially" heard it too. You time-in at the first door and time-out when you are done with the last door.
Don't feel bad because it wasn't clear to me at first either. No one actually told me. I just assumed time-in was when you leave the meeting for field service to time-out when you go back to your car.
I'm sure there are a lot of inflated hours out there. And maybe there is a bit of field service report padding going on too. But the lack of written rules on the subject leads to this situation.
I found out the "official" version when I was working with a pioneer one day and I mentioned that I got 30 minutes already traveling time. I was a little annoying losing those 30 minutes. LOL
They no longer keeping minutes of the meetings? I'm not surprised.
I guess it all comes down to a hand-shake on who stays and who gets kicked out.
But I am looking at the legalistic angle: the latest and greatest noo lite is very specific - Disfellowshipped.
Doesn't matter. They have their "oral law" and "secret interpretations" which allows them to use broad powers dealing with any kind of dissent or rebellion from the norm from anyone.
So no matter what kind of ace you think you have in your hand, they hold all the trump cards. And they can make new trump cards as they go along.
You can't win.
so i was poking around jw.org a lil recently...... noticed this advertisement was still present in the 'privileged' section (ie you gotta have login access).
this was posted on jw.org a little over a year ago (as shown in pic) but since it is still viewable......figured it is fair-game for jwn fodder.
thoughts?????.
I knew that the WTS bought cars for the COs but I'm surprised that the handling of used cars is handed off to someone else. I'll bet that the individual that sells these used cars is also the one that sells new cars to the WTS. So it is a good deal both ways.
Frankly, considering that these are well maintained vehicles driven by men who are not aggresive drivers nor party animals, these are good prices for good used vehicles -- all kidding aside.
