Path, I just love Toronto. Big cities make for Big fun! Well, if someone "else" can plan an apostofest in Toronto, I'll be there. Save up a day off so you can be a part of the "party" ok? Don't want you to be too tired now....

Benefits to strengthing SOCIAL ties between us?
by Pathofthorns ini realize my comments are a bit wordy and my thoughts scattered, but i just thought i'd toss this out.
in the past, jw's argued on doctrine and the xjw community argued also on doctrine.
these days many jw's are no longer able to argue their own beliefs and the xjw communty has less interest in discussing jw doctrine or christian doctrine.

Hey Path,
hello (old handle was Pierced Angel). I agree that meeting up with some of you on the board has been very helpful to me during my transition from good witness girl to apostate slut. The bad association and worldly influences you xjw's have rubbed onto me have made life worth living again.
Seriously, it was hard when I decided to disassociate myself, but the support of this board helped me realize that I wasn't alone, I wasn't the only one going through this turmoil and also that old truth, "there's always someone who has it worse than you do". Meeting some of you in person made me realize even more that the society is losing it's best and brightest people. Most of you are so good at using humor to ease your load, but I've seen the pain and felt closer to many of you because of our similar stories.
Thanks Path, you always have a very eloquent way of stating truths. I always enjoy reading your posts, they are written with a flair that most certainly belongs to a great writer. It was nice meeting you in Toronto. I was surprised to see how young you were, you are so mature for your age. Maybe Beans or Quotes will put together a little apostofest to take away some of the winter monotony?
Beans??? Quotes??? Peter Stride??? (I miss you too Peter! Where've you been?)

I wanted to add that this "doctor" didn't guess a bunch of things and then finally get something "right". Everything he noticed about my health was right on and not once did he say something was the matter that wasn't true. He wasn't guessing and he didn't try to sell me anything. He seemed like a good person and I haven't seen him since, been a couple months now. His main goal is to help people deterrmine where their health problems lie so that they can work on natural ways of combatting the issues on their own (as long as they're not lifethreatening). He seemed to live quite simply so if he's raking in big bucks off of new age customers, he's hidden the luxuries in his life quite well. I remember Gallileo's plight so I don't play the skeptic too quickly.

Well, I hadn't had one in over a year and just that week I felt one coming on strong, so I don't think he was just taking a stab at it. Also, my daughter, being 12 is more apt to be on the computer, but she's not into it so why did he guess that she didn't have effects of radiation too? He didn't know us at all, didn't know anything about us. And no, I did not buy ANYTHING from him, he only offered some ideas about things we could do to make ourselves healthier. These screens help filter the monitor light and supposedly the radiation effects. Either way, it's better viewing so I like it for $15.

I met this guy who was a "new age" type doctor and he said that he healed people naturally. Well, I do believe in having an open mind and I do use herbs, etc. so I decided to see what he'd find with me and the kids. Well, I'm on the computer all the time and so is my son, he also plays video games and stuff, but my daughter, rarely watches tv or goes on the computer. This guy didn't know us at all and he said right away that my son and I had radiation streaming off of us. He said "do you two use a computer a lot or watch a lot of tv?". He said my daughter didn't seem to have it like we did. He also could tell by putting his hands out in front of my body that I had a urinary infection. I told nobody that I had one or that I was sick, in fact, I've had them before so I was just going to stop and get some cranberry juice and try to flush it out on my own before contacting my doctor for antibiotics. I was shocked by his being able to tell from just "feeling" the energies around me. Weird.
I don't know how and what it means, but I've since installed a protective screen for my computer and I'm sure that he has some kind of special talent, but how, I don't know.

Hmmm,
I usually just use the recipe on the back of the Nestle Tollhouse package. The main thing is to use good chocolate, use the Nestle, or grab some Ghirardhelli double chocolate chips, yummy! Use butter, they come out chewier and add some coconut flakes, delish! Make them "gourmet" by dipping half in melted white or regular chocolate and then dip the chocolate covered end in some chopped nuts or something. Oh, and for a gift he can use later, make up a batch of "cookies in a jar" mix for him when he gets the urge to bake one evening.
http://midmichweb.com/yochef/chocodeco.htm Practice a couple times so you get the time right and you'll just die over how good these chocolate oozing cakes are, fattening, but worth the indulgence for someone special once in a great while.
You've made me hungry now. Wonder if I have any ice cream still in the freezer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Ok, I have nice ones when I was a dub too, but it's more fun to show how I bad I felt most days. Here's the day I got baptized. I was 7 1/2 months pregnant with a head cold. Hubby screaming at me as I left with another sister in abnormally frigid weather. I'm a brand new woman, no dubby, no hubby! Life is good now.
Here's me now
and here's me out at night before heading to the clubs.

I really love the times I've had in Paris, France and the old, old name for Paris used to be Lutece, so I thought it was cute. I used to go by Pierced Angel, but I no longer fit that name.
