I wish I could have made it this weekend, but things just got too crazy around here with kids, work, etc. I've enjoyed meeting people at the apostofests. Everyone's so nice and fun company!

now that you aren't forced to accept beliefs that you might not have wholeheartedly endorsed, there must be many different things that you don't accept.....what comes to mind?
The Golden Rule is about all I rely on from the Bible. I was disappointed in a lot of the accounts, always seemed so unfair and unloving to be coming from a loving heavenly father.

People are losing it everywhere, you have to be careful not to provoke anyone, especially on the road. Tomatoes are one thing, they said they had paintball guns too, now that would have pissed me off, brats!

Anyone here ever try past life regression hypnotism? I'm curious and wondering what my "imagination" will come up with. Maybe it's true. I'm engaging in "learning" and thought I'd give it a try since my aunt is into that and swears she has lived before. Should be interesting, even if it is just my creative streak having fun. I guess part of it is that I believe there is something that still lives on when we die and every now and then I get so darn curious about it. The coincidences and "deja vu" experiences fascinate me at times.

sundays, we had 4 congregations for one kh.
one meeting on sunday was from 4pm to 6pm.

That's the latest one where she heads to Vegas I think. I haven't made it that far in the series. I've just been introduced to them. My aunt was reading one and kept laughing to herself so I had to borrow some and now I'm hooked!

i have been thinking about this a lot.. my family treats child molesters better than they treat me.
my sister-in-law's father was accused of child abuse by her sister.
since there weren't two witnesses to this terrible violation, he is still in good standing in the congregation to this day.
I could never shun anyone, especially if all they did was having a smoking addiction, in fact, I felt like they needed moral support more than anything and would try to be encouraging.
I talked to the elders about my friend's problems with drinking. I really believed it was related to her being sexually molested by her brother-in-law who just happened to still be in good standing although he admitted to raping his own daughter in the past and supposedly got some counsel for it. He said he "didn't remember" any events with my friend. Can you imagine answering accusations like that with, "I don't remember"? She is looked down on because she can't handle her drinking at times and gets depressed and misses meetings, but Mr. Child Molester who likes to rape his own daughter can go out in service, sit at meetings and get treated with respect. Makes me sick. She still attends meetings to appease her family. I did what I could and feel sorry for her, but they've got her deeply brainwashed. If I found out anyone did anything to my children they would wish they were dead.
And yeah, I'm treated worse than a child molester by JW's too since I walked away and disassociated myself. Big deal, they aren't worth the energy.

I used to absolutely hate dragging my baby out in the winter on cold, dark, snowy nights to the service meeting. That was the worst torture, lol. Oh, what a freedom to not have to go to "meetings". Am I missing out on my "spiritual food"? Nah, getting well fed on Harry Potter, Janet Evanovich and Food Network, heehee.
