i've just read in another thread that due to circumstances the secret santa for this year hasn't been able to happen, so i want to try and organise another one!.
according to the lady at the post office, the closing date for international mail to be delivered before xmas is this week, but for post on the same continent we still have a few weeks so i'll try and take that into account so everyone can have their prezzy before christmas day.
if everyone who wants to join in can pm or email me at [email protected] with their details before 12noon sunday 30th november(uk time), i'll try and get the details back to you by sunday night.
My giftee is going to receive something naughty and nice...........

i was raised as a jw since i was 4 years old, elders daughter, pioneered the whole bit.

I always had doubts and so forth, but until I read so many accounts and experiences, I kind of thought I was the only one. It really hit home when people from halfway around the world were feeling the same way. I hope you'll be able to glean the information you need here along with making some new friends.

Yes, many family members that I used to not see very often have welcomed me wholeheartedly to their holiday celebrations and we visit more often and they have been totally understanding and loving. I missed out for so many years......years I could have developed better friendships......but I'm making up for it all now. They have shown true love, unconditional love, and it's so nice to experience.
I have a much more positive energy about me in everything I do, I am healthier and happier. Blessings of the best kind!

Yeah, especially when hearing other's stories and watching scary movies and stuff. I"m not afraid of any kinds of spirits anymore, what a waste of energy it was.
i had been long gone by 1995, had i still been in , this would of definitely sent me packing, when the magazines came out in i believe nov 1995, what was your first or early reactions.

My mom, who never reads anything, didn't even know it had happened. She tried to tell me it was all lies, that there was no change. I told her to pull out her bound volumes and start reading. It doesn't mean anything to her, she thinks she is not smart enough to understand it anyway, so whatever the "brothers" say is fine with her.
I was so angry when I found out. My mom had been laying on the guilt really hard in 98, saying that her grandchildren would die and there was nothing she could do about it.

FDS, when I hear those intials I don't think of Faithful and Discreet Slave, I think of those commercials for Feminine Deoderant Spray.
my brother went to bethel as a teenager and was disfellowshipped and sent home.
he tried to toe the line and after 6 months the local congregation recommended reinstatement.
bethel didn't like that idea.
