Could they be sued for negligence?

i saw two jws i know quite well the other day and i started to think.

they are both men in their mid 40s, both look like they are pushing 55. both are single, dirt poor and unskilled, although one is going to marry soon.

the first man, who works as a landscaper, was a good mechanic but never got the technical training necessary so is in essence unskilled labor.

Bible Study?

what does a "bible study" from the jws teach?

i've been offered one, is it a good idea to accept?

they tell me that they will just show me what they believe and why the believe that, that's it.

That is so true. Also get the books "Crisis of Conscience" and " In search of Christian Freedom" by Raymond Franz. U can look online at book stores and that a peek inside.It will show you they are not Gods channel and are false and are very cult like. You must do research or you are going to fall in a trap and may not get out.Take care and keep us posted so we can help you.

Also The WTS or JW's like to bashs the UN or as they say the wild beast. However they were hooked up or a member of the UN from 1991 to Oct 2001. They will say it was to use their library.WRONG you don't need to be a member to use it.Also I don't think Jesus would go to Satan and become a member of his group to further the preaching work.Thats the stuff they won't tell U. If you do your research you will find all that out and more.

Also you know about the whole birthday thing. When that comes up use these scripts Job 1:4,5 (special day aka Birthdays), Rom 14:5,6 is good for dec. 25 etc etc, Luke 2:13,14 (The angels rejoiced when Jesus was born), Luke 2:42 (Are we really to conclude that the arrival of a person's birthday would produce no celebration or emotional response at all). Also Pharaoh & Herod will come up, here is the real answer. Was Its the birthdays or the MEN themselves? Obviously, it is the MEN who did the evil.There is nothing to suggest that these men did evil Because of their brithdays.These MEN did evil all the time not just on their birthdays. Also, in Genesis account Pharaoh also did some good by setting a men free on his birthday(JOSEPH).

Fear Factor used to control JW children.it is nothing short of child abuse

i was thinking of this the other day,,,,,,, feeling guilty of putting my kids thru this, even thou it was not my intention at all,,,,,,,all the meetings, all the service , ,, fear was the motivating factor in doing all of the things jw's do every week.. five meetings a week jw children are subjected to hearing in graphic detail of how the birds will eat the eyeballs out of those who die in armeggedon.

then they are told they better keep on the cramped and narrow path or they will end up the same.

then they hear all the things god did in the past for those who didnt do what he said,,,,,,,terrified they will be his next victims.

If we are using Gods word(The Bible) then we don't need what a organization or publications or what a group of sinful humans have to say. Also look what happen to Adam and Eve and US when they partook of someone elses "FOOD".Sorry I'm sticking with the Bible and if the WTS has a problem with that, tell that to Jesus when he comes back!

Also ask the WTS does God REALLY speak to you because from my understanding thats why the Bible was written. I would think if God was really speaking to them there would be some kind of prove like with Moses or Noah God spoke to him etc etc.They have been wrong on so many times/things they are playing a guessing game. I'm sorry but God doesn't play guessing games, it is what it is.God would not do that to us, I know my GOD YHWH and the REAL JESUS.Just venting

Six million people mislead?

i have done a little research since joining this board and honestly believe that jehovahs witnesses fit in the cult category.

however what i don't understand if this is not the so called true religion as most of you have expressed how do you figure six million were mislead into believing it is the only true religion?

i mean this is not like the heaven's gate cult or the infamous jonestown cult who had very little followers in comparison with jehovahs witnesses.

as it has no author,no one is brave enough to claim responsibility for this particular interpretation of the bible.

whom is responsible for all the changes of scripture, no one will put there name to doing this.therfore if no one from the society claims to being the author ,is it because they have invalidated the word of jehovah and are scared that they will receive the plagues as mentioned in revelation.for adding to the scriptures or taking things away.

No, because there are no answers to the questions that people ask about it. They change back and forth old light, new light ,black light ,star light etc etc.They can't get anything right and yet their Bible is suppose to be the only true one.It doesn't make any sense and that proves they are false. I mean they can never give you a str8 answer. There Bible is false because they added to it so your not getting Gods message or word or Hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 Year anniversary of WT QUOTES

well it has been one year since i first started promoting the quotes web site, about 15 months ago when quotes and i were reunited i recall looking at the counter at the bottom of the page and he had about 17,000 visitors.

as i look today there is over 39,000 happy visitors, and what a pleasure it has been spreading the good word!

when i stopped going to meetings at 16 i had read nothing but knew things didn't add up at the watchtower!
