I went to my one day assembly recently and yep just a said on this forum and only the second time where i actually paid attention to this part of the announcements, we had $5000 in expenses. This is a building i helped build as a kid, the land was donated and all of the labor as we know was donated. No way there was $5000 in expenses for one day!!! Makes me sick and even worse is when theres a natural disaster somewhere, people send their money to the word wide work thinking it will be used for the people affected. EVIL BASTARDS!!!!

i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.
as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?

It amazes me how JW's we all thought we were so biblically educated, yet the GB took one scripture just one and took it out of context to what was actually being discussed in the chapter and applied just that one scripture to say that just a few special people get an anointing. Me and everyone else just accepted it as gospel, this is one of the subjects that really started waking me up and made me realize how really stupid we are as JW's.

Apostate: From 279 Facebook friends to 81 overnight... thanks MOM!
by sosoconfused inthe drama continues, i log on to facebook this morning and notice that i have about 20 some odd personal messages from people calling me an apostate to they will return to me when i return to jehovah.. all of this based upon my brother informing others that i have "apostate thoughts".
my mother also encourage long-time famil friends to "unfriend" me because i have taken my stand on the side of satan... wow.
don't you just love this international brotherhood.

Thats sick to think elders are out there trying to convince people not to partake but when i think about it, thats all the memorial talk is about every year, how the rank and file should not partake. John chapter 6 starting at verse 47 says 'anyone that partakes receives life' and the word anyone is used more than once. They the GB and their flunkies are really trying to deny us, that are true believers in Christ, the kingdom, like Jesus said at Matt chapter 23

The religion no longer has 'that its about to be then end do to the 1914 generation' so even though they try to push the 'end is about to hit at any moment' it doesn't have the same power. Also since they no longer have this and alot of there other dogma is old i think they have less to talk about so they are more about just fluff topics and of course there always brainwashing.
