Maybe they intend to make a bible app for peoples phones etc. Or maybe its a strategy to imply that yes we can't get bibles because the end is so close that what's the point in printing a book to big for people to read in the little time left. If they use the second one then i'm sure they can get the rank and file to run around preaching like their heads were cut of like chickens. It would be funny to see.

Another hypocrisy by the WT?
by Crazyguy inin the last year the wt has brought out that in 1918 jesus upon inspection chose the jw's to be his earthly organization and before 1918 there was no org all the way back since the death of the last apostles.
only a few anointed christians.
does this scripture not blow up that idea, of no earthly org until 1918???.

He just said to Peter on this rock i will build my church. Maybe he pointed to a physical rock, but i went and read the scripture in the King James bible and it did not look to me as though he was referring to Peter as the rock.

I think when they rolled out in 1995 the 'This Generation' doesn't mean this generation but something completely different that any linguist would of puked in their mouths over and the Rank and File lapped it up like dogs to vomit, the GB knew they could say and do anything that want and the rank and file would be ok with it.

Thinking_ability just a quick note Jesus said on this rock he will build the church, not Peter is the rock, so Paul is OK.

Paul's rationale...
by NeverKnew inas a non-jw discussing "the only true" christianity with jws, i brought up romans 14 for obvious reasons.
after reviewing the chapter as a whole and asking appropriate questions, i went back up to verse 11 and sincerely asked, .
"by the way, how are comparative verses like romans 14:11, isaiah 45:23 and phillippians 2:9-11 interpreted in your faith with the same language being attributed to the father in the ot and jesus in the nt?

I think the trinity is irrelevant to God, he and his son are in union. If it were a big deal to him either way there would have been more specifics written in the bible.

Problemaddict, in Philippians paul spoke of not caring how and who spread the Good news about christ, If peoples motives were pure or not as long as the message was spread. I see that in most christian religions were the good news is spreading world wide. The JW's on the other hand are spreading another message altogether different. Their message is about the Kingdom and Jehovah, and thats OK too except they claim they're the only one spreading the message of the good news of the kingdom. But if you were to look at the bible there are over 100 places were the good news is mentioned talking about Christ and only 8 talking about the Kingdom. Also if one were to read Acts, Romans and just about every new testament book after the gospels the apostles and disciples were always talking about the good news as Christ. Read Acts chapter 9.
So just remember Rutherford wanted to be different from other christian religions thats why he changed the name to Jehovah's witnesses and not Jesus witness. And don't forget 1 john 5:1 that everyone that believes in the messiah is Gods sons, the WT says no this is not correct only 144,000 Jehovah's witnesses are Gods sons. So the WT teaches something contrary to the bible and so is there message, they are infact the apostates.

I realize the scripture and the context means a spiritual church, there are other scriptures that say god does not reside in building so to speak so I know he doesn't have and earthly ORg like that of the JW's or any other. But can these scriptures show that the JW's idea of one org starting only after 1918 is obviously wrong????

Matthew 16:17-19
New King James Version (NKJV)
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed [ a ] in heaven.”

Jesus was 'Given' all authority, and when Jesus was baptised they heard a voice say 'this is the one I approve listen to him'. These are just two of many that seem to make a distinction between the two so not a trinity. But they also say that Jah has given over to his son all power and authority so he (Jesus) is our King and Mediator and its his ball of wax now. He is Jah's ambassador to earth with the Emperor's Seal to prove it, and since their in unity it all works. jmo
