Seems as though theres a quandary on their hands, elders that do not want to teach or appoint new ones and loosen their control and uneducated, non motivated younger men that do not want the job. Hopefully the problems will mount and more will leave the 'Truth' tm.

Elder instructions to mates
by Crazyguy inwhen i first was waking up to ttatt, doing my own research on the new covenant and the mediator i wrote down everything the wt said was their beliefs and then went through and blew up each one of their points and came to the conclusion that all christians are anointed all are under the new covenant and all mediated by jesus.
when i showed my research to my wife she freaked out and called the elders.
with that the co came over to see what was going on and the cat was out of the bag.

Anyway with having to meet with him and others then writing a letter to Bethel and they said of course nothing, all things finally settled down mostly because of me and not wanting to go to a JC meeting.
Any way for the most part except for maybe 1 or 2 small discussions nothing had been said or asked or commented on by my wife. Is it possible that the elders have told her not to talk with me about anything spiritual in nature?? Do they do that???

EXACTLY WHAT are JEHOVAHS WITNESSES witnessing TO ??? THAT OTHER RELIGIONS AREN`T
by smiddy inany and every religion that preaches the bible, prints the bible ,distributes the bible and highlights the bible as the word of god ,certainly cannot be called anything but a witness of god,who by all accounts , certainly in mainstream religion recognise the name of god as jehovah / yahweh.. it is not a name that is exclusive to jehovahs witnesses , many christian religions identify with that name.
so jehovah`s witnesses have no reason to boast they are gods chosen people in this 21st century when they clearly cannot be seperated from other religions claiming the same things.in fact their failed"expectations"i purposely do not use the word prophecy when they made their pronouncements that never came to fruition too many to mention here .in fact many other religions have never fallen into the trap the witnesses have in making predictions/expectations that never materialized,.and their have been many.. smiddy.

They think they are the only ones preaching the 'good news of the kingdom' but the bible only mentions the 'good news of the kingdom' 8 times yet hundreds of time the 'good news' is about christ. The apostles did not preach the 'good news of the kingdom' they preach about Jesus is the Messiah. The JW's have got the message all wrong.

How does TTATT affect your marriage??
by Crazyguy injust wondering of those of you that have left or are fading and have married ones still in, how is it going, is there hope or is the marriage doomed?
wondering what are the percentages.
i'm fading fast but wife is zealous as ever and we don't talk spiritual things at all anymore.

Just wondering of those of you that have left or are fading and have married ones still in, how is it going, is there hope or is the marriage doomed? Wondering what are the percentages. I'm fading fast but wife is zealous as ever and we don't talk spiritual things at all anymore. I have started to tell the kids a few little tidbits at times but nothing too major yet to rock the boat. I am sure when i do things will get rough.

Whats the most damning of the July 15 2013 changes?
by Crazyguy ina lot of the rank and file at the meetings seem to think some of the changes make more sense but what is the most damning of the changes that may help to wake to some up.
some thing the rank and file will not first see or understand as a big deal?.

Good point Ding. I think many of these changes are being made because its becoming common knowledge that the GB never look for a took guidance from another professed anointed ones, this causes problems that they needed to shore up. But lets not forget that know where in the bible does it say the 144k are anointed or are even the ones that become kings and priests, it only states that the 144k are Sealed.

Britain | Jehovah's Witnesses hushed up child sex scandal | July 16, 2013
by jwleaks inchurch officials hushed up a child sex scandal in their ranks and refused to co-operate with police.. .
jehovah witness ministerial servant gordon leighton admitted sexually abusing a child when he was confronted by his church elders, a court heard.. but during the official police investigation, the 53-year-old who made headlines in the 1990s when wife yvonne, 28, died after refusing a blood transfusion after childbirth on religious grounds denied any illegal wrongdoing.. and when detectives asked elders simon preyser, harry logan and david scott to make statements about the confession, all three refused and said what they had heard was confidential.. for three years, the elders refused to co-operate with the criminal investigation and kept up that stance when the case was brought before newcastle crown court after the victim made a complaint to police.. each was issued with a witness summons which they fought to overturn before being ordered to testify by judge penny moreland citing public interest.. their barrister richard daniels said the men had a duty to god not to breach confidence.. he added: privileged communication between members of the congregation and ministers is an absolute right and duty and there is no power in law to breach such a confidence.. judge moreland said: it is apparent that the three elders who were present when this conversation took place are in possession of relevant evidence as to a point which is of real significance in this case.. they claim the right of confidentiality, they claim that what they heard said by the defendant during the course of that meeting ought to be subject to privilege, as ministers of religion.. judge moreland refused to withdraw the summonses and said: public interest is clearly in favour of this evidence being given.. what was said by the defendant on that occasion is of great significance in the trial.. despite the judges ruling, the men still refused to make statements to police until just hours before they were called before the jury.. leighton, who has since been expelled from the church at lambton kingdom hall in washington, denied two charges of indecency with a child and seven of indecent assault.. he was yesterday found guilty of two charges of indecency with a child and six of indecent assault.
he was found not guilty of one indecent assault charge, on the direction of the judge.. he was remanded in custody until he is sentenced next month but warned he is facing a lengthy spell behind bars.. prosecutor katherine dunn told the court the victim, who is now an adult, broke her silence in 2009.. the court heard how at a special church meeting, leighton admitted sexual abuse and made excuses for his behaviour.. miss dunn said: the elders conducted their own investigation.

WARNING and SAVING PEOPLE so that they aren't destroyed...is....ILLOGICAL
by Terry inthink of all the anxious souls who barely escaped the end of 6,000 years of human existence in 1975. they were saved!.
saved from.... what?.
who were trying to save them?
-
Crazyguy
I often wondered if I saw someone about to fall off a cliff, wouldn't it be better to not save them because they would be resurrected into the new system. Its crazy when your religions gets one thinking like this.

What's The STRANGEST Thing You've Seen At A Kingdom Hall?
by minimus ini saw a fight break out on the platform between an elder and a unbelieving husband who accused the elder of f---ing his wife.
he then threw the lectern on the floor and pushed the elder.
it was cool.......

This isn't strange but funny. At a circuit assembly a little boy maybe 3-4 runs out the doors drops his pants and starts peeing, but what was funny is he put both hands over his eyes while doing it. I guess he figured if he could see anyone then they couldn't see him peeing.

Prayers that God answers. Any examples?
by punkofnice inwhen i believed in god i tried not to pray for anything selfish.. after a while i began to think that a lot of things i was asking my imaginary friend in the sky for were selfish for some reason.. i do not ever remember a single thing i prayed for ever being answered.
if there was the appearance of an answer it was because i did mental gymnastics to make it fit the delusion that god had actually answered me.
there was never an obvious message/answer from god.

Joined 3/28/2013 A year or 2 ago i needed work really bad and realized by another person's experience about prayer that i was not being specific enough in previous prayers about anything. So this time being desperate for work I prayed that Jah would help me and i told him what i needed and i needed it fast. Sure enough a day or two later i went to an old account where i had worked years before and got the account right away. Wasn't the greatest account stopped going a few months ago but it did exactly what i needed and was a prayer answered by the big guy.
